"Hurmm...Alright mi'lord. You looked just a bit tired, perhaps because I asked to many questions....Heh...Well i'm off to go and round those tratiors up...Goodbye, Mi'lord."

Later, Kain tortures a few of the higher up spies to see where and if the group of tratiors would meet.

"Godsdamnit!"
Kain quickly drew his sword and stabbed the traitor in the chest. His other hand grabbed his face and began to put pressure on the wound. A long and painful looking gash on the side of his face, where his lip met his cheekbone was bleeding. Several of his guards rushed towards him and offered him pieces of cloth.
He grabbed the least dirty one and held it to his wound.
Kain pulled his sword out of the dieing man and stared at the palace guard who let the traitor loose, with a look of  contempt and pain on his face.
"DON'T THEY TEACH YOU NOTHING AT TRAINING, BOY? DON'T THEY TEACH YOU TO FRISK THE GODSDAMNED MAN FOR WEAPONS? DON'T THEY TEACH YOU TO PROPERLY RESTRAIN THE MAN YOUR ARRESTING? HURM? OR DID THAT NOT SINK INTO YOUR THICK AND STUPID SKULL?!?!"
Several of Kain's guards looked at the Palace Guard with a look of loathing and hatred and began to slowly walk towards him.
"No...He’s not worth it..." Kain suddenly says, staring at the traitor dieing at his feet. Watching every trace of agony and pain going through the man's eyes. Kain kneels down and picks up the knife, looking at the traces of his blood on the blade, and as fast as a striking snake, stabs it into the mans windpipe.
“Round up the rest…Don't dissapoint me...”
Kain pulls the cloth of his face and wrings the blood out.
“Carry on!” gesturing simply to his men and walking over to his regiment‘s medic.

The Mask lets out a small rough sounding chuckle.

"It's my JOB to know such things sire. And in any rate, there is always a use for more spies, especially good ones like the one who is before you. Think, if you had my services, the battles in Miring and Preston could have gone drastically different. Spies under my command could open castle and fort gates, assassinate troop leaders and counts, report troop positions and movements, poison wells, burn bridges and warehouses, slow or eliminate trade, the possibilities are frankly, amazing when compared to trying running a kingdom WITHOUT spies. Suul knows this, they have already used spies in the past, the message that was made of a few of their remains by one of your lords is plain enough of their presence."

Mask steps forward and sweeps his arms to the side in a grand gesture.

"Naturally, they will of course continue using them, since they have thus far been effective. So ask yourself, my king, wouldn't it be only fair on your part to be able to do the same and more to them? I can do this for you, and more. I can aid your internal security, help scout out enemy cities and provide that all important resource that is the basis of power itself."

Mask holds up a hand and rubs his fingers together, as if he was rubbing two coins together.

"Information. Interested?"

Trotting through the city gates, accompanied as always by Waery along with the rest of his regiment, the Royal Heir Prince P. Trubaldsome was immediately assailed by the stench of charred wood and smoke. A few scared, pale faces peered out from those buildings still standing, and a gloomy pall seemed to hang over the city.
Coughing and hacking, he hurriedly pressed a sweetly-scented cloth to his nose, his watering eyes narrowing as he surveyed his home. "Gah! What has happened?" Waery, riding beside Trubaldsome, kept a hand readily on his sword.
The party continued onwards down the main street, rubble littering it in places. Sighting a group of Elbrethian soldiers marching through the streets, Trubaldsome frowned.
"Certainly made themselves at home, I see..." He remarked through his handkerchief, then turned to Waery.
"Send one of the men ahead, one with a loud voice. Have him shout at these louts to make way for the rightful King of Miring!"
Waery nodded once, waved a hand fowards and said, "You there, Arnkes! Get yerself fowards an' let 'em know th' King is 'ere. Th' rightful King o' Miring an' all." The young, reserved soldier named Arnkes nodded and strode fowards.
Usually a fairly quiet man, in the few times Arnkes was angry about something his voice would shake the windows of whatever tavern/whorehouse he was in, and he put it to good use now, bellowing at anyone on the rode ahead as the regiment marched fowards towards the castle.

Head towards -my- castle to see what state it's in, soldiers armed and ready for any trouble. Have a soldier march ahead of the group shouting,
"Make way for the King! The rightful King of Miring! Make way! Way for the King!" And so on.

Drua finishes cleaning out her palace room, adding numerous trunks of ingredients, scales, and measurement tools for map-making to the cart, and then begins the trek to Suul. When the new year arrived, she'd have five ducats to finance a mapping expedition to all the fa -away lands across the sea. She'd have to bring a few monks along, of course, seeing as how the Order of St Johns had a few rougher friends who could probably sail her across and the Order of Thyme were good people to keep around. These damn canes were a dreadful annoyance, but with her Suulian friend taking care of her, she'd heal up soon enough. Miring might need the order, but there wewre fresh lands of adventure across the sea, and Drua was feeling like heading somewhere new, away from this land of death and crushed hopes.

Head to Suul and begin making prepartions with contacts in the Order of St John and the Order of Thyme for a trip across the sea.

Information gathering:
Is the captain of the Yalasan still alive?
-If no, loot his quarters for marques, money, maps, etc
-If yes, meet with him in his quarters about the business arrangements i have for us

Where was the ship headed when we hit them?
What are the crew's feelings about a) piracy, b) legitimate work in service to a pirate?
-Assure them that any crew not up for being pirates/working for a pirate will be given free leave at the next port we make

May have been skipped in the update. Or is Knave doing the updates for Jormund/Endhras/Ghazkull/Me now? Sorry if I sound impatient.

((I'm not sure if it's up to me, but I'd like to have Ehndra's regiment be the one killed due to the fact that they're cheaper and he won't be able to afford the upkeep on them anyways once the years rolls around.))

Jormund returns to Dr. Johnston (or just finds us on the field of battle, I don't remember if he joined us) and informs him how the battle went. "It was a decent battle, the new troops we raised did their best to try and capture the other clan, but unfortunately Ehndras' men were a little wet behind the ears and got in the way of the plan. Partially because of this, we lost about half of our forces in the battle but still came out victorious. The other good thing about the battle was that we managed to get 2 ducats that they had found. Unfortunately, I believe there's more of them, and so we might be fighting them in the future. In the mean time, I'd like to resume studying tactics with some of the soldiers through the winter as well as working on possibly fortifying my land in case the Valley clan does come back. I don't think there's going to be much more opportunities for us until spring arrives."

Return to Dr. Johnston and give him the 2 ducats and turn the soldiers back over to him. Return to the veteran soldier and resume studying tactics now that I have my own parcel of land. Lastly, attempt to build a wall or earthen defense around the Valley area.

The Doctor, returning to the capital from the battle, gladly accepts the two gold. He smiled at Jormund, standing up and hugging him tightly. "Thank you, my friend." He said, letting go and sitting back down. "I hear word of you trying to create some sort of defense around your land? Good luck to you, I say. Let's hope you have more success than I did! Wait a minute before you leave, though. I have a present." And with that he waved a guard over. "Give this man half of the gold to help build his wall." Then motioned him to hurry up. "Oh, I nearly forgot, you most certainly can study under my soldiers anytime. It would be an honor. Now leave, I have to go over some plans involving the McKinleys."

A tall, hooded man approaches a gatehouse to the city of Sheepstead, known by no-one, but with great plans. Knocking on the door, he waits, wondering how to get to the king. Seeming to make a decision, he pulls his hood further down his face as the door swings open.
"Hhhello?" The guard appears to falter at the sight of this pasty faced man.
"Hello." The mans voice is firm. "I am Ichor Echen. I believe your master requires my specialist services. I will see him now."
Although the guard seems hesitant, Ichor wishes to save his powers for the king.
Just use normal persuasive skills to convince the guard that I need an audience with the king.

I'm also not sure if I was skipped. If not, just tell me.

Terenos heaved a heavy sigh as he watched the wealth of Preston being plundered. Muttering to himself that this was no way to treat an occupied state you wanted good relations with in the future. He nodded to Taricus as they were divvying the loot.An even split, and thusly a fine 4 Ducats of plunder.

A rider from Grand Master Black chose that moment to make his presence known.
"Lord Terenos, your presence is required at the keep. It is very urgent."
Terenos waved him away and turned to Taricus before riding off to the keep, his regiment and plunder in tow. "Best of fortune to you, Sir Taric."

Terenos mused to himself about the ease with which Preston was conquered.. He should have been arriving to a siege, not an occupation.. And the rumors he had heard since arriving.. Maybe there was something to this Cyclist blather.. Or something more sinister at work. Still, he was never one to frown at good fortune. Regardless of its potential source.

Sir Joseph scans the street in dismay as his men begin to barricade the bar. How did things get this out of hand? He doesn't think his worn unit will hold out and if they do they will be in no condition to fight another unit. He stoically heaps tables and chairs into a defendable position.

((I think my post may have been missed so I'm repeating it here))

The air grows cold with the biting chill of winter and Meng feels the trail of the bogeymen grows fainter yet. Meng anaylyzes his situation, he seems to be in a valley with a still unfrozen river running through it.

Walk down the valley side to the river and follow it to it's source. After all where there's water, there is life, try looking for human activity nearby or failing that try and hunt a large animal down for food.

Taric was in his tent, counting up most of the loot, making sure no-one was taking more of their share. He'd just finished doing so when a messenger arrived from Terenos, bearing a note. Taric went and took the note off the messenger.

"I'm going to enjoy this more than I should. Get the trooops, we march!"

Head back to Miring with my regement, And two royal regements in addition to Black/Terenos'. Send a runner ahead of the main force to alert the royal forces in Miring to arrest Trubaldsome for treason.
