Okay, twenty replies happened whilst I was typing up that battle.  I'm going to ask the King to respect my rolls on this one, partly because it serves as a demonstration of how the player vs player battle system should go.  That alright, thatkid?

Attack. Keep my shield ready to block him and my sword ready to strike. If that fails the heavy mail should protect me.

OOC:
Already respected, broseph. I liked your narrative a hell of a lot better, anyways.

Kaguro, you've got it wrong. He's out of potatoes, that's why he has to harry the coasts. #jokesinbadtaste

((EPIC  :D, and SO CLOSE !  :'())

Spoiler: Scott McIronhand (click to show/hide)
Is he good?

It might be, but I'm afraid it's not happening.  I've been asked by players to ask you not to come back into the game.  Certainly not yet, at any rate.  Due to the number of arguments brought about by your style of play (many of those arguments from myself), your tendency to plagiarise whole-cloth from well-known popular fiction and your unwillingness to listen to reason on why this ruins the fun for others, you are not welcome as a player.  By all means continue to follow the thread, even comment (provided you keep your comments respectful) but I will not be accepting any further characters from you at this point.

Remaining seated now, taking up his drink once more, Trubaldsome first turned to answer the King, giving a slight shrug of his expensively-clothed shoulders.
"She did not have much contact with me, in truth, your Majesty. But I am a sociable creature, and once the 'general' had stopped me, with threats of violence, from completing my duties to keep order in the capital, well... I had little to do with my time but mingle in the court." He paused, raising his goblet in another shrug.
"Of course, in that time I could not help but notice how, amongst her bright, cheerful peers, the fair lady Erika seemed rather reserved. Having little else to do, I asked her what was the matter, and..."
He took a sip of wine, and shook his head slowly, raising his eyebrows. "The whole sad story came tumbling out."

Turning back to Kaguro as he spoke, a frown creasing his brow, Trubaldsome spoke with some vehemence, setting aside his goblet and standing up now to gesture at the General, addressing those about him.
"Do you see? This man has, just now, openly admitted to killing defenceless members of the fairer sex, no-doubt in direct contempt of his true orders." The young lord bared his teeth in disgust as he continued, shaking his head emphatically, "And to top it off, he spent half his time increasing his own holdings out in the country, when tasked with maintaining order in the King's city in his absence! With having seen the state of our City after this man had run it for a time, with buildings exploding and assassins kicking down doors in the castle, I fear to even think what his own lands must be like." He sat down again with a thump, having said his piece.

((Alright I fleshed out the cost of using magical abilites.))

A young man travels the plains. Any watchers can sense the aura of oddness and wrongness about him. He is adorned in a large black suit, with highly arched shoulder pads, and the gleam of metal underneath, something you might see a general wearing to a funeral. On the suit is a heavy layer of dirt and grime, the traveler has been obviously traveling for many a season, yet never bothered to clean his suit. His face is rather plain apart from how pale he is, as if he had never before been under the sun. He moves coldly and methodically and despite the sun bearing down upon him he shows no sign of weariness or sweat in his suit.

He stops to remove a canteen from within his suit and takes several swigs before surveying the land.

((Argh, with adwarf nearly killing the king people are going to start adopting a kill on sight policy for mages.  >:( ))

The hooded figure gives up the chase, and decides to return to the castle, to see the king. He asks for an audience with him (The king).

"My town and market where built a year before the king even left, I've stayed here in the capital since he left." he said, pointing out a huge hole in Trubaldsome's logic.

Attack. Keep my shield ready to block him and my sword ready to strike. If that fails the heavy mail should protect me.

OOC:
I got this, if y'don't mind.

Taric has his sword (+1) and shield and armor (+1) the Demonic Guard has weapons (+1)

(2+2 vs 5+1) Sir Taric cautiously advances on the grinning madman, only to have the blood-soaked guard lunge forward with incredible speed. The Knight is barely able to raise his shield in time to block the spear, however this proves to be a feint as the guardsman's sword slams into his side, denting the armor. (Taric: 2, Demon: 3)

(6+2 vs 6+1) Sir Taric back pedals, just barely managing to parry the psychopath's blade with his own before knocking the spear aside with his shield. Taking advantage of the opening, the Knight rushes in, stabbing the guardsman in the stomach. (Taric:2, Demon:2)

(3+2 vs 6+1) The guardsman simply grins as Taric's blade sinks into its gut, and then drops the spear to grab hold of the weapon's hilt. As Sir Taric struggles to remove the weapon from his opponent's abdomen, the guardsman simply pulls himself closer to the knight with the sickening sound of dead meat and gore as the blade comes out of his back. Just as Taric gives up on the sword, the Guardsman brings his weapon to bare, shattering the already ruined armor and cutting deep into Taric's side. (Taric:1, Demon:2)

Taric has lost his weapon advantage.

(5+1 vs 3+1) Sir Taric stumbles back a step, and the guardsman rushes in to take the bait. With a roar of pain, the Knight swings his shield and slams it into the demon's face. (Taric:1, Demon:1)

Though they are both bloody and beaten, the Guardsman seems to be just fine. Sir Taric warily circles the beast, and then suddenly his adversary lunges forward!

Only to have Sir Taric (2+1) roll away, staggering to his feet as he snatches up the fallen spear. Spinning about, the depraved murderer lunges a second time...and narrowly misses his mark (1+1). As Sir Taric the Just staggers aside to avoid the blow, he thrusts his spear forward, driving it through the guardsman's heart.

A horrific cacophony of wails fill the gore-filled street as the guardsman's body convulses upon the spear, horrible visions fill the Knight's mind, and a dark smoke seems to fill the air. Finally, the visions and screeching fade away, and the guardsman falls limp upon the spear.
As darkness overtakes Taric, the last thing he sees is Grand Master Black leading a contingent of Royal Guards around a corner.
