Spoiler: Original Post (click to show/hide)

Edit:  Spoilered/ignored because thatkid's battle takes precedence, with virtually the same conclusion.  Take that one as canon.

Awesome.  Out for the night, sleepy.  Will aim to deal with rolls I've missed tomorrow.

OOC:
Your armor was dented and your side bruised. You then stabbed the beast, and lost hold of your sword. Upon stabbing the creature, you took a grievous wound to your side. As a last ditch effort, you smashed your shield into the guardsman's face before grabbing up the falling spear and stabbing it through the heart. This either banished the demon inside, or outright killed it. There was a lot of magical kick-back, in any case.
You then passed out from your injuries just as Grand Master Black and a group of guards found you.

In other news, Trubaldsome has all of the sixes. All of them.

The King allows the General to say his piece, though the guards apprehend him regardless. He listens intently to Kaguro's rebuttal (3), and then to Lord Trubaldsome's own response (6).

The King then began to raise a hand to silence the room, first his sword hand, though he quickly and shamefully dropped it to his side, and then his shield hand. "I, too, have had to slay women in course of battle. I would not idly murder any innocent, however, and nor would Kaguro, I am sure." he paused then, and, gritting his teeth, turned to the Lord from Miring. "I find your tale suspect, Lord Trubaldsome. Erika was frightened even to speak to me of these affairs, and it would seem that you have been in your own fair share of dirty work. I find it curious that you would attempt to have Kaguro's man silenced by one of your own. More-so than the fact that you are the only person Erika was initially willing to confide in."
He paused once more to study Trubaldsome and Kaguro, and then continued "Did Erika provided you with details of when, and where, these events took place?"

(( Paladin eh? I think that can be arranged! :) ))

As Knavston hurried through the streets, a squad of guards trailed him. Panicked peasants pointed in fear in the direction that the possessed guard had fled. Black nearly careened into two dumbfounded drinkers who had stumbled out of tavern, no doubt drawn by all the screaming wanting to see what was a foot with their own eyes. “By order of the Church and King, stay in your homes!” he bellowed furiously as he ran, hoping he would be able to catch the demon.

The sound of battle made him stop. Nearby he heard the sickening sound of spear passing through flesh and the howl of a godless creature. Rounding the corner he saw both the creature and what looked to be Sir Taric fall to the ground.

“Sir Taric!” He cried aloud, no longer paying any heed to his tired body's protests as he ran to the fallen knight's side. “Fetch the nearest healers, and be quick about it!” He commanded to no guard in particular, as he knelt beside him, checking his pulse. “He's badly hurt!”

He glanced over at the ruined corpse of the guardsman, he would take no chances with this vile creature. Standing as quickly as he knelt, he  Lifted his sword and went to decapitate the demon's host. “We must burn this body. We must not leave anything to chance.”

Destroy the guard's body with fire and ensure Sir Taric gets a healer.

And on another street, the figure rushes into the scene. He takes in the information quickly. "Ah, sir! We can use my cloak for bandaging until the healers get here!" The man tears his cloak into strips, and uses them to bandage the wounded man.

Tear my cloak, and use it to bandage the wounded man.

Drua finishes washing her bloody hands, fresh from giving the King a dose of home-made herbs mixed with strong alcohol. She lets out a long, harsh, sigh, bag of supplies still waiting to be packed. As she finishes washing up, a servant bursts into her room. She wheels around, fury lighting her eyes like a wildfire at her privacy being invaded. She softens as soon as she sees the look of abject terror on the boy's face.

"Dr-Drua! A demon has nearly killed Sir Taric!"

Drua curses violently and quickly crams a fresh set of bandages into her bag, slamming it shut and running out of her apartment. She sprints down the street, following the path of destruction, to find Grand Master Knavston preparing a pyre and Sir Taric being held up by three passer-by. She shoves her way past a man tearing a cloak into what looked like the worst attempt she'd ever seen to make bandages and kneels down beside Taric, determination set into her face. His wounds looked pretty bad. She opens her bag and begins to lay out various herbs: one to stop bleeding, one for pain, one for the bandages to have a balming effect, a lot of bandages...This was going to be a mess, but she wasn't a damn good alchemist and healer for nothing.

Heal Sir Taric.

(Mahtan: 3) Since you put the ballista together, you have no trouble taking it apart.

(Pompulion: 3) The plains are empty as far as the eye can see. The grass is thin and dead, and the wind seems to cry out in mourning as it passes through two nearby rocks. It could be that you stand on unhallow ground, or it could be that you're letting old hearth-side stories and the superstitions of the weylanders get to you.

As you stand gazing into the horizon and thinking of these things, a hunting call sounds in the distance.
It occurs to you that, while this land is no good for domestic grazing, a number of wild animals live in the area and several small, primitive tribes likely live a meager existence hunting whatever they might come across -- including people. Called the "Dead Plains" by the Weylanders, the tribes people prefer to simply call it "The Plains". ((There is probably a more academic name for it that you'd find on maps and the like. Since you originally came up with the idea of this place, you're free to choose what that name might be.))

To your left, the Dead Plains spread out for a time but far off in the distance you can see the beginnings of the Weyburn Highlands.

(Ochita) The Hooded Figure is granted an audience, though some days after the events with the mage. By this time, the King is well enough to sit the throne once more.

(Kain 2-2) Without expending any ducats on the process, you're barely able to erect basic shelter for your settlers. Almost nobody is willing to move in to the area, and it remains desolate.

(Black 5) A burning lamp hangs in the doorway of a nearby building. You quickly grab it and smash it over the guard's corpse. The flames take to the body like a fish to water, and within moments naught is left but ash.
(Figure 5) Your cloak makes for a fine bandage, and soon the Knight's wounds are firmly bandaged. While the bleeding hasn't completely stopped, he's definitely going to be alright now.
(Drua 1) By the time you arrive, Sir Taric the Just has already been firmly bandaged and stabilized. You take out your herbs, and move the bandages aside to administer them. However, in your haste you took the wrong bag -- whatever herbs you took, these have only caused the bleeding to begin again and the wound to become inflamed. (6) Luckily, you're able to make an on-the-spot antidote, though it would appear Taric is allergic to the mixture you used as the wound is now swelling and he has broken out in hives.

As soon as the King is well, several soldiers are sent out to find the Hatcuri so that Erik might speak with him -- Unless the Chronicler remains in the court/involves himself on his own and this isn't necessary.
E: Erik also will call on Drua and, if he can be found, Mahtan for a private meeting some days after the battle in the throne room.

Drua curses and looks at her bag. How stupid!

Try to undo the damage!
