The Grand Master had been too busy trying to destroy the demon's host with flame to notice the incident with Taric's healers. The flames had made quick work of the body and he finally allowed himself to relax and release a deep breath. Turning back he noticed the medical procedures. Walking over he frowned and grumbled, “Make sure he doesn't die.” motioning to a nearby guard, he continued, “Get a cart or a carriage, get Sir Taric back to the palace.”
The guard nodded and quickly ran off to do the Grand Master's bidding.
The Grand Master then went to address the growing crowds, making his way to the town square he rose atop a wooden soapbox to address the people of Sheepstead.
“People of Sheepstead! Hear me! My name is Knavston Black, Grand Master of the Burning Circle. You probably have heard the commotion, or seen the destruction. Or at least heard the rumours. Let me tell you, a vile mage attempted to kill the King in his very own palace earlier. Though many brave soldiers are dead and the King himself was hurt, the vile heretic was no match for the King's own blade. But rest assured, the King is alive and healthy! The mage unleashed a vile godless demon to bring fear into our hearts. But the mage did not count on the bravery of the Proud Sir Taric, who slew the beast at great personal risk to himself. He sent the creature back to the under dark where it belongs. I ask that you keep Sir Taric and the King in your thoughts and prayers and wish them a healthy and speedy recovery! Know that you are safe and the mage has been neutralized. God and King Erik will protect you!”
Assure the crowd that the King and the town are safe and that the Demon will not come back to harm them.
