Attack. Keep my shield ready to block him and my sword ready to strike. If that fails the heavy mail should protect me.
OOC:
I got this, if y'don't mind.
Taric has his sword (
+1) and shield and armor (
+1) the Demonic Guard has weapons (
+1)
(
2+2 vs
5+1) Sir Taric cautiously advances on the grinning madman, only to have the blood-soaked guard lunge forward with incredible speed. The Knight is barely able to raise his shield in time to block the spear, however this proves to be a feint as the guardsman's sword slams into his side, denting the armor. (Taric: 2, Demon: 3)
(
6+2 vs
6+1) Sir Taric back pedals, just barely managing to parry the psychopath's blade with his own before knocking the spear aside with his shield. Taking advantage of the opening, the Knight rushes in, stabbing the guardsman in the stomach. (Taric:2, Demon:2)
(
3+2 vs
6+1) The guardsman simply grins as Taric's blade sinks into its gut, and then drops the spear to grab hold of the weapon's hilt. As Sir Taric struggles to remove the weapon from his opponent's abdomen, the guardsman simply pulls himself closer to the knight with the sickening sound of dead meat and gore as the blade comes out of his back. Just as Taric gives up on the sword, the Guardsman brings his weapon to bare, shattering the already ruined armor and cutting deep into Taric's side. (Taric:1, Demon:2)
Taric has lost his weapon advantage.
(
5+1 vs
3+1) Sir Taric stumbles back a step, and the guardsman rushes in to take the bait. With a roar of pain, the Knight swings his shield and slams it into the demon's face. (Taric:1, Demon:1)
Though they are both bloody and beaten, the Guardsman seems to be just fine. Sir Taric warily circles the beast, and then suddenly his adversary lunges forward!
Only to have Sir Taric (
2+1) roll away, staggering to his feet as he snatches up the fallen spear. Spinning about, the depraved murderer lunges a second time...and narrowly misses his mark (
1+1). As Sir Taric the Just staggers aside to avoid the blow, he thrusts his spear forward, driving it through the guardsman's heart.
A horrific cacophony of wails fill the gore-filled street as the guardsman's body convulses upon the spear, horrible visions fill the Knight's mind, and a dark smoke seems to fill the air. Finally, the visions and screeching fade away, and the guardsman falls limp upon the spear.
As darkness overtakes Taric, the last thing he sees is Grand Master Black leading a contingent of Royal Guards around a corner.
