So yeah, are we going to send somebody we off, we might need more food, and seeds from the elves.  Maybe we spend the next couple of weeks producing stone and glass crafts so we actually have something to trade with them and we can get some decent stuff (lots of outdoor seeds that grow insanely fast, maybe some booze, really, I'd be amazingly happy with that right now)

Yeah, making a bunch of stuff for a while and then going with a more full caravan sounds nice. Remember that in theory we've also got the murdered expedition site to scoop stuff up from; it's free but more dangerous and probably less reliable than trading with elves.

We might also consider trying to reassemble a full wagon. There was far, far more than we could carry in the carts last time.

Finally, the elves want the treants dealt with. Since we've shown that we're pretty good at dealing with small handfuls of treants when attacking from ambush, it stands to reason that we're at least kind of good at fighting them, and might be able to sell mercenary service to the elves without dying too much.
