Year 34: The abominations having offered up the lives of dozens of beings since their escape from confinement are rewarded a strange magic by Yig. It's powers allowing them to torture and corrupt the world around them.

Year 35: Fen Leafripple the bloodfaerie learns to manipulate the lifeforce of the trees. She forms the Society of Trees and teaches her faerie druid apprentices to channel the trees' lifeforce.

Year 36: The now militant rock people of the planes begin to band together, both peacefully and by force. Eventually, the entirety of the planes is united under a single Rock person. Rumors are that he once was a shepherd, and that he is untouchable in single combat. The first real armies are created, small as they may be, and a line is drawn in the grass. The Nation of wind is born, and their armies guard the border against the abominations.

Year 37: The Society of Trees create a reservoir of lifeforce inside an ancient tree within the heart of the forest. Len Leafripple appoints herself Guardian of the Spirit Tree, and bans the killing of trees and Society of Trees members.

Year 38: A civil war breaks out between the society of trees and a small splinter group who think that killing trees is justified by the reasons behind the killing. The society for the justified killing of trees begins a form of guerrilla warfare against the rest of the faerie species.

It's a slaughter. The splinter group is routed and the members are strung up and eaten alive as an example. The Faerie society as a whole has become more authoritarian as a result of this.


A revolution is held in the depths of hell. Tensions between those monsters that still sacrifice to Yig, and those who now follow Mothron come to a head. Being the abominations that they are, they will accept no less the the absolute annihilation of the other side, and the rooting up and purging of their ideology.

Year 39.2: Torrential rains change the course of the forest rivers, flooding the Society burial grounds & refuse piles. The blood-tinted waters flow past the Spirit Tree, merging the resentful cannibalized faeries' lifeforce with the umblemished lifeforce of the spirit tree, before flowing out of the forest, towards the ocean.
Maple, the Goddess of Water and Slaying is born. She takes the form of an estuary.

Year 40: Three Sacred Isles appear in Maple's Estuary, created by an unknown force. They are covered in a mixture of swamps and forests. The grounds there are most fertile, and civilizations are sure to fight for this new territory.
