I presume magic schools can be used together for new spells, or whatever we're going to call them?
Is partial affinity to a magic school possible, e.g. specializing in particularly scary illusions from the School of Thought?
Does the one who came up with the school get a bonus of any kind?
Can these 'free schools' be saved up for later?

If I like the answers to these questions, I might not need to bloat the list any worse than it is already; every kind of magic I want is already covered by one or more existing schools.



If I make an angel that's pretty much human in every way but name, will I still get a discount?
The angel template was a bunch of powers with a set cost. If you take those powers away, so you will the cost. Remember, the word 'angel' costs nothing, only any power(s) you give your creation(s).

Akriurgy: Magic relating to precision, efficiency, and improvements. This cannot often be applied to biological systems (keyword 'cannot often be applied), but can be applied to machinery or equipment designed to enhance biological systems. Limitations are of course ever present depending on skill level, and it does more than just 'improve systems'; at low levels it could be thought of as a sort of diagnostics systems, you could say. Checking for errors and malfunctions and the like. Designed for use with machinery or large interconnected systems and supply chains, in large part. Stacks with Enchanting and/or technomancy, most likely, mirrors Wrenchmancy?

Where was mirroring and stacking explained? I don't know what the terms mean and I think I missed the post with the information on them.

I've changed my character sheet a bit, also did a quick drawing of my character:

I am just confirming my second choice for Plasmurgy, after thinking it over this is definitely a fun choice~.

Posting before someone take my schools, will edit with more stuff.

Corpomancy: Alteration, mutation or fusion of existing life.
Pact Binding: Binding of two or more beings (including gods, as in a being binds itself to a god and not the other way around) through magical links of various natures.

If someone takes your schools, isn't that a good thing? It just means you get another one  :P. Binding is kinda-sorta Lawmancy, which I chose already.

I shall not comment until Andres tells KJP how magic is supposed to work.

But that could take two ticks! ...Just kidding Andres....

I was more afraid of someone making something similar enough to what I want that doing it anyway would be redundant while not being quite what I want. Also Pact Binding is more about binds than pacts, and lawmancy wouldn't quite fit what I want, I'd need to stretch it incredibly thin to have the stuff I want.



Also KJP I'm not sure music would fit with pact binding, since it doesn't really have anything to do with sounds (even though I suppose it would be possible to add some to a pact, but that would be quite a stretch). I blame my too short descriptions on that.

System add:
Technomancy.
Relies on external media (crystals, for instance, would be a good medium) to construct and cast magical effects.  Does not, on its own, have any inherent spells, as it is really a complex enchantment looked at in a different way and formalized, but does, on its own, have the capability to, well, be a magic-equivalent AI. 

...I just realized that my race is essentially a large application of this, with some extra bits stuck in.  Guess they get a bonus.

...I just realized that the way this is framed, it's not any actual magic branch, just applied (other magics).

So, to actually use my second slot, I shall implement the enchantment/metamagic branch, if it isn't already (and my suggestion said that the metamagic branch should have been already there).

Should the metamagic/enchantment branch be extant without my intervention:

Uh.  I have zero ideas about what to do now.

Wait, no.  I have something.

Mancimancy.  The art of crafting new systems of magic, or making different ways to accomplish the effects of existing ones.  May, perhaps, be the logical extension of metamagic.

Also, add Akriurgical techniques into Randomancy.  Those are very complementary.

But seriously, are we allowed to freely take from real world mythology and religion? I think that Mjolnir is kinda open source.
