(transparent costs,1) (less puzzles,1) (world interaction+,1) (Council-,2) (pantheons,1) (juniority compensation,1) (some rebalance,1) (metagaming-,1)
1. Player power will be increased a bit mostly through relaxed GM-based creation action/creation restrictions and making more interactions and making them cheaper (e.g. easily looked up pricing not requiring price checks, secretly blocking, more possible cooperative creations)
2. Those who have voted so far are roughly evenly split between adding stats and keeping the one-stat system. This issue will be polled.
3. There is relatively little desire to change the amount of conflict, so player diplomacy and trigger-happiness will be emphasized as a mechanism for changing this
4. The Council was generally seen as overly powerful when it acted and powerless in general from dissent and apathy. Membership in the first Council (the prebuilt) will now be made opt-in and its power will be limited to the power of its members acting in concert. Also, starting rules and the like will be more developed to encourage fast resolution and participation.
5. The majority want approximately the same emphasis placed on secret actions. Nothing will be changed on the GM's side.
6. There is mixed opinion on how important prompt updates are. The GM will goof around less, hopefully.
7. The majority want some influence of sphere on actions, but there were many suggested ways of going about this. This has been put to voting.
8. While most are fine with the current emphasis on NPCs, many want more autonomous NPCs (and a more autonomous world in general). This is granted.
9. Most want gods to be harder to kill, but the exact mechanism is up for debate. This is granted through voting for emphasis on various anti-death mechanisms above.
10. No one likes the ministers system, moving on.
11. Most players want interference in other players' creations limited at the start of the game. It's difficult to quantify how much interaction counts as interference, so describe the smallest thing that would count as unwanted interference above
12. Most players want little penalty for lack of originality. Now-sufficiently-generic things such as elves/dwarves, Earth animals, and mythical creatures will be unpenalized, but lifting from specific works (as opposed to broader mythology or folk tales or anthologies/compilations of such) with little sign of good faith effort will add 15% to creation cost in the absence of copy-pasted descriptions and 30% for copy-pasted stuff.
13. The Captain Ersatz rule has been relaxed. The only thing stopping expies now is a 15% or 30% price increase depending on if the description is lazily copied from somewhere else.
14. An overall cooperative goal/plot will be in place. (More if the first is completed)
15. Magic and technology will both be available and roughly similar in potential influence.
16. People most commonly liked creation, conflict and the development of civilization/mortals
17. People disliked the Council and its inactivity, lack of ending (fixed now, hopefully), PvP, the Void, stagnation, the seniority power gap, constant paranoia, and OOC issues.
18. Autonomy of NPCs and a changing world were the most commonly desired improvements.
19. The median desire to have 2-3 starting teams was 3/10. There will be no prearranged starting administrative teams (at least not prearranged by the GM), but players are encouraged to form teams of their own initiative.
20. The median desire for granularity/fine-grained control of creation was 7/10. Hopefully, there will be ways to integrate this and autonomy smoothly.
21. The median desire for increased attention to intrigue was 6.5/10. The GM will probably not attempt to increase or decrease it by much.
22. The median assigned value for randomness was 4/10. While the GM weeps slightly at slightly decreasing the role/l of dice, the players did vote for it.
23. The median desire for increased focused on NPCs was 0 on a scale of -5 to 5. The GM will not change anything directly here.
24. The median opinion of the Captain Ersatz rule was 0 on a scale of -5 to 5 (-4 to 4, really). Integrating this with the original characters question, the Captain Ersatz rule has been greatly loosened.
25. The most common opinions on secret goals include that they should not affect much (@@@ tell people to send them in!), be done as secret random events, milestones, or serve to provide small random rewards. As the prevailing opinion is that they should not do much, there will be no change at this time.
26. The magic system question has largely been superseded by a combination of the poll and the current proliferation of custom magic schools.
27. Further changes have been included above to vote for/against
