Oh god.
It turns out that all the FB's raw duplication spawns are all giant hairy mites, weighing about 9000.

Presumably by pouring water on them.  Or maybe by removing any fuel source.

You mean I didn't need to sit and watch as a massive fire consumed my entire map while my dwarves huddled in the dining room?... How do you pour water on fire, anyway, can you get dwarves to do it, or do you need some complex machine far beyond my realm of understanding, like using marksdwarves, making traps, and just why that burning, mangled tame roach still shows up in my animals screen.

Just started setting up my main entrance.  It consists of a one-tile wide strip of land over a 7z pit.  The land has weapon traps on them, and at the bottom of the pit are upright spike traps.  I'm waiting for the next goblin attack so I can test it out.  It should be pretty fun.

Congratulations.

Now every fort will try to make flaming ballista arrows.

Lot of hillarious failures incoming ;p

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

What exactly did it do to them? I assume they aren't dead, they may still be of use, possibly with a bit of modding.

Had a forgotten beast roaming around under my base for a year, so i decided to invite him to play. It took him like 6 months to notice the stairs. Anyway, hes making his way up some stairs next to a pit so i station my military above him. They decide to charge early. Every single one of them dodged into the 10z-pit and died.
