Just discovered a new cure for berserk dorfs: War bear. I had him walled in, so i decided to drop a bear on him from above. Although he was unconscious from hunter fire (Hunter McHardcore takes no shit from hostiles yo), the bear killed him pretty quickly by means of facebite.

It said nothing about what it was able, only that it was a scorpion with three tail and poisonous bite. Yeah, the dwarf was super strong from 1 year and a half of sparring. The fort crumbled during a joint attack from goblins and nightwing :( 25 bow is a lot of arrow.
Wait, when did nightwings start working with the mobile metal sources?

They simply came at the same time from two different side, both side with bows, they made pincushion of my military, who were in the middle ...

Edit: On another note, started a new game and a cave-in crushed two miner and the dust killed a mason, 3 dwarf out of 11, ouch XD Nobody is unhappy ...

Found a volcano next to a stream on a flattish area. I managed to dig out my entire protofort before one of my miners fell into the volcano while I was trimming the area around it.

To change up my DF experience, I've set max pop to 7 so any more dorfs I get after the first couple migrant waves will be childers only.

3 dorf ladies and 4 dorf mens = WHOO. Brook = COO-- wait

I have a natural waterfall!

I know where I'm putting my entraaaance~ :DDDD

They have been build, because I can suspend some walls.
Also, my wardogs are fighting eachother (31.24). Is this normal?

Yeah, crowded animals start picking fights with each other.

Finally got a FB at Craftgates; was starting to think they'd never show.

Quote
The forgotten beast Cova Mesicamothida has come! A towering eyeless mockingbird. It has a pair of knobby antennae and it undulates rhythmically. Its dark brown feathers are downy. Beware its poisonous bite!

Forty-four pages (I kid you not) of "The Hammerdwarf/Macedwarf/Metalsmith/Weaponsmith/Fashionista bites the Forgotten Beast in the (body part)! The (dwarf) latches on firmly! The Forgotten Beast breaks the hold of the (dwarf)'s tooth on the Forgotten Beast's (body part)" later, I start to wish I'd thought to mod in feathers and pillows, so my dorfs could have beds with *forgotten beast down pillows*.

ETA: Huh. There's another dead FB listed here, and I'm pretty sure my dorfs didn't kill it.

Quote from: Dush's Description
A towering earthworm composed of salt. It has wings and it has a bloated body.

Wonder if one of the neighboring cave civs did that.

ETAx2: Copied the save and looked in Legends:

Quote
In the midsummer of 123, Dush was struck down by the olm man Blockbreeds with a tower-cap spear in Craftgates.

Cova the Molten Dent died in late spring 124, so I just barely missed Dush-- and the olm folk live in Cave 1, so maybe I'll see Blockbreeds the spear-olm later.

I am going to drain my volcano through constant cave-ins from pumping the river into it. Then I'm going to build something in it. I don't know what.

so, i was scrolling down through my fort, along my dodge trap, and i noticed miasma in the dodge trap...apparently it did work after all, and a 9z fall can kill people lol, there was several master thieves i never noticed down there, apparently my digging out the walking line made it underground, and therefore able to produce miasma lol

I was in the middle of constructing an artificial waterfall when suddenly 4 of my dwarfs start to drown...  ??? ok what happened? But as I pause and go to above of where they fell they i assume one of them deconstructed the only piece holding them up. Silly me.

HIt the first level of caverns, everything is going pretty good, I make a little room down there, carve out a niche to defend from foreseeable attack, and then just on a hunch I throw a nest box into the half-built room.
I did not count on a cave crocodile taking residence in it.
Then something else went and incinerated the two levels of cavern below the one I'm on.

It's suddenly become a lot more Fun.

I saved my game right after an ambush appeared next to my legendary woodcutter.  I may or may not end up savescumming a couple times.

Another flying FB, Sedme Galel Kamca ("Sedme the Squid of Dreams") the horned cicada, approached Craftgates, completely ignored all three openings from Cave 2 into the complex, and went after the cave swallow folk. A couple died quickly, but this one spearman's been locked in melee with the thing for a month or two now.

Meanwhile, I've bid all of Craftgates' dwarves to move all the loose stone out of the way so nobody trips on it. Two magma smelters and two magma forges are now running, processing prodigous amounts of tetrahedrite and galena into copper bolts and silver hammers. :D

ETA: After about two months or so of nothing but melee combat, Getakshibbi, "Utteredblossoms", the Cave Swallow Man Spearman struck down Sedme "the Squid of Dreams" at Craftgates.

ETA: Playing while chilling with my buddies...

Proxian: Wait, "donkey has given birth to a donkey foal"? How did that happen?
Friend: Well, when a mommy donkey and a daddy donkey love each other very much...
Proxian: But I don't have any daddy donkeys!
Friend: Uh... divine intervention?
