*pokey*
in all seriousness though, even a summary of how our last turn actions went like we got in turn 4 would be helpful for planning my/our next move(s).
Also whether any of us know Illumina exists and stuff.

Hey guys, sorry for the silence... I haven't been feeling too good recently. I'll be back to make a post summarizing what happened, but to be honest I actually had a bit of a panic about this roleplay. Sometimes I worry about things a little too much. I'm mostly okay now, though.

As founder of and an expert on leading (and trainwrecking :( ) Godhoods - may I inquire into your worries about the Age of Fire? Sometimes all it takes is for someone else to point out how badly founded they are, and since I've done the same stuff, and I know what silly things I worried about or that kept me from moving on, I might just be able to help you out. :)

Hmm... Well, let's see.
As any good GM's fears should be founded on, I always concern myself with making sure you guys are happy. So I want to make good posts. However, I find myself frequently procrastinating. Surely, though, no update is worse then a bad update? Not when anxiety says otherwise.
I wrote that previous update in less then twenty minutes. It was rather freeing. If there was one thing I could change about this RP, it would be me setting the precedent for overly long posts. Quantity does not equal quality. Notice how many spelling errors there are in the unfitting between Magnus and the mob, for instance. But now whenever I sit downto write I immediately think "Alright, time to write a million words" about an action that really doesn't need much more then a bolierplate "Yep, that happened".

In the end, it's just me being a prat about something that is basically harmless fun.
I'm sure we can all empathise with that.

You know, I think I'd like to give this another try, if I ever get the chance.

Could I join the waitlist? I can still write/send that act from a year and a half ago, Fniff, if you want.

I think this is in the endgame now, so it should be wrapping up """"soon"""". By this game's standards.

Don't worry. While you're waiting for the next game to come out, Dwarf Fortress 1.0 will be out along with sapient AIs, fusion energy, and the finale to A Song of Ice and Fire, so you'll have plenty to do until then! :P

There'll be at least 1 person playing right now who likely won't go again, and there was another slot that just got abandoned entirely.

I'm sure we can all empathise with that.

I can certainly empathize with you. :P
I personally found it difficult to sit down and focus. If I finally did, though, and I managed to finish something, it was great. The problem is that the longer the piece is (likely going to be), the more I kept shoving it forward.

Quantity is not quality. They can go hand in hand perfectly well, but then you've got to make sure that the quantity fits the subject.

About making sure that the players are happy as a GM:
Players in Godhoods are almost always happy. Even if our efforts are barred, or if we did not get a huge mention in the post, we get to participate in our own, huge story. This includes you. Generally, when the GM is having fun, so are the players. So that's what you should focus on. Don't think "I got to make the players happy"! Think "I got to write something that I like writing and that I'd like to read"! Yes. I didn't follow my own advice when I did the Godhood series (sorry :x ). But I've had enough introspection to figure out at least this much of what went wrong!
