Wow, can you guys believe it? Two posts in the same month. And I managed to exceed the character limit, again. Hopefully this is less... less.
Hey, Harry Baldman. Yeah, I really like the format of Godhood games. I imagine a lot less people would try reading through this if every post in the OOC thread was posted in the game thread. That would also drive me absolutely up the wall. Just so you know, word on the street is that I'm considering making another Godhood-style game after this one. If you want to know about what... It might just be about the age of what happens after fire is done.

... the age of dark?

Goddammit Chosen Undead.
...
This update has filled me with intrigue. I'm sorry again Fniff, but I'll be bombarding you with questions again sometime in the next week or so. You know how it goes with me.
I think I've thought of an interesting third option for my dilemma that we can hash out once I get around to it.

Title ideas, you say? I've got just the thing for you.

First of all, you need a title. This is the easy part. All you have to do is take one word from word list A, and then another word from word list B, and then you can either separate them with 'Of' or 'Of The', or put the word from list B first with an optional apostrophe-S on the end.

Word list A: Rise, Lord, Kingdom, Fall, Quest, War, Shadow, Saga, Destiny, Conquest, Tale

Word list B: Hero, Dragon, Demon, Evil, Damned, Darkness, Fallen, Titan, Shadow (again), a made-up word that sounds vaguely mystical (e.g. Amalur)

Could make a random generator along these lines, even. Worked for Warrens of Oric the Awesome, didn't it?

There's only one problem with the Age of Fire; it has a very generic name.
As far as I know, there's at least one novel named the Age of Fire. Probably more.
Plus, it sounds very... medieval fantasy. I don't dig medieval fantasy. I should have really picked something more noirish.

Age of Whiskey. Or better yet, Age of Rye. The Two-Fisted Age (wait, no, that's just pulp).

Maybe it's the "age" that's the problem. "Epoch" has a less hackneyed ring to it. Drop the "of", maybe.

Now, what non-shitty fantasy words can I think of? "Arcane", "magic", "sorcery" and such are all rather shitty words, for reference.

I guess a good title requires you to be at least a little familiar with the subject.

Well, it's the modern age, which never struck me as being 'fire'.

We do, however, make heavy use of electricity...what about something playing off that?

Either that, or make the title a reference to a recurring theme through the story/quote or something.

It has to do with new beginnings, so... Spring Under Fire?
Sounds like a bad war novel.

The title you're looking for is Sea of Ashes.

Great update!

Oh, question pertinent to everyone - how long a timespan do turns have now? I'd guess a week?
