I wrote a teaser on the game thread, if anyone is interested.

Lot of kind words being said here. Again, apologies if I messed up on your characters, it was a very rushed evening. But you can correct that with an epilogue! Please, retcon whatever feels needed.
Man, what a game. I agree with DH, this was a long one.

Well, I said my goodbyes in the main thread, let's go into everyone's favorite part of Godhood endings,

So... Apart from that, don't know what to say. I guess I'll say more if it pops up in my brain.

Truth be told I kinda liked that the Angel got killed in a big climactic battle. It was kinda the culmination of a gradual shift in the tone of the setting that had been happening as the game went on. It started as proper film noir, everything dark and grim and rainy, and it gradually turned more and more ... fantastical as the power of the gods ramped up. It felt kinda fitting for the ending to be reminiscent of a genre totally opposite to what the game started out as at first.

And yeah, the Angel was one hell of a good villain. The buildup he got before he was introduced, and the way which you sparingly used his direct presence, really contributed to that.

Well, there's that. I probably could've made that better, but if there's one thing I've learned from Age of Fire it's that sometimes perfect is the enemy of good.

And also that I need to work on characterization, but that's a flaw in my writing I'm working on. Bleh, whatever.

Thanks, all.

It' been a ride. I have a text file sitting at home partially finished, waiting for me to have time to put finishing touches on it. You did a SMASHING job on the supporting cast, by the way. Jules was a MONUMENTAL asshole and I hated his guts but that's fine, he's the kind of character that you don't need to like to enjoy.
