So. I had been having a bit of trouble with this turn. The only problem with this game, I feel, is the utterly absurd amount of stuff I have to write. This is no fault of you guys, it's just that I set a very high bar for the amount of writing I needed to do, which was stupid and probably didn't contribute much to the overall quality. So this turn, I decided to be a bit... ambitious.
I'm sorry I didn't get to write much of a response to your actions, but I think it's been a while since we've had a really crazy event, don't you guys think? Besides, I think this is going to start moving at a much faster pace from now on.
Let's start cooking with gas.

Oh, and if you're looking for direction, I think the idea of everyone meeting up is suddenly looking a lot better. Plus, everyone has something to react to right now.

Oh god. OH GOD. Which would be myself, in this case. Don't... do anything too drastic now, Fniff.

...the problem of being a god is having no-one to pray to.

EDIT: Mechanics, eh? Well. That's kinda drastic. Anyway, I'm going to go smash a third way into reality. Stranger? Jules? These old geezers can go retire. I've had enough of them.

I've seen the post. Seen what happens.
Ahem.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
NOPE NOPE NOPITY
MERLIN NO GUSTA EL SITUACION
EXODUS PROTOCOL ENGAGED

Good thing I've had emergency plans to vacate reality in case of something like this ever since turn 2.

EDIT: Do Null Acts follow the same mechanics?

Hey, you only live once. And third ways are fine! Really! ;D

Depends on the null act. If it's major enough, probably.

I'm working on it.

Mkay then. I see what you said about additional effects, Fniff.
...
Probably not gonna post a turn for a while - first I gotta internalize what the fuck just happened, then figure out what happened with my acts, then calm down, then plan a thing out, then join a bunch of other games in order to get a nice buffer of other dice rolling characters so my Xantdice doesn't leak over into Merlin, then start acting.
Don't worry though, I have a plan that can probably get us all evacuated. I've already got the infrastructure set up for it. I'll PM y'all details.

Did Lloyd get a thing in the results?

I have a plan which can result in everyone being technically, though not quite, death.

If you meant the magical surge thing, yes.

My favorite kind of plan.

I've passed out the plan I have. It's rather rudimentary, so it can be improved by figuring out how individual characters could boost it.
It might sidestep this whole situation a little bit though.

At its heart, this is a communal storytelling game. I don't think we should be playing to 'win' - though yes, I do want a personally satisfying ending. I really hope mechanics won't get into the way of that. Frankly, the most important external conflict with Jack is not these new intruders, however important their role in the world. It's those two jackasses who have been interfering in my business and wallowing in their self-importance for the entire game. And it's that conflict I will see resolved. One way or the other.

I was actually thinking that the rolls don't influence your action's results as much as their consequences.
So all your actions still succeed... It's just that they might color your endgame. Not necessarily in a deadly way.
Also, don't worry. There'll be an option to have Jules and co. get his comeuppance. There'll be a lot of options...

Ah, I see.
Still, Merlin's paranoia glands are kicking into overdrive. Gotta perserve what he's attained.

EDIT: say Fniff, what were the results of our actions last turn? Even if you just tell us OOC, it'd be good to see what happened with our efforts.

I agree.

Also: Why do you have to paint the world in Red? I mean- My character likes the color, but he kinda maybe possibly sometimes occasionally likes the world a little (tiny) bit as well. Maybe. When it isn't fucking him over. Please don't destroy it.

I also don't understand how us (the players) knowing about these mechanics should affect our characters. How much do they really know?
