I find a bay with several islands in it, and, through the use of several watermills and dams, drain the ocean, turning the islands into hills. Then I found a republic in the valleys between the hills, forbidding any settlement on them.

I'm the Chancellor of the Valleys.

The guardian of my hill valiantly fights off the goblins, killing all of them. He then throws the socks and corpses at the Chancellor of the Valleys, with inhuman strength.

I misunderstood, the goblins never attacked my son's nephew's clone.

Well, the orbital colony has repopulated by now and zooms off to the new hill site. Several thousand anvils made of platinum drop at terminal velocity towards the location, crushing Aseaheru.

An exact clone of me before I was killed is beamed down to plant the fanciest flag yet.

I get fed up with the constant warring over hills and, with some followers, venture forth to find a land without hills. After several months of traveling, we come across a large plain. We settle there and found our nation, the Republic of Valleyplain, in memory of our homeland. I am the first Elector, and I pass a law that calls for the destruction of any hills withing the Republic's borders.

Unfortunately, Valleyplain happens to be a floodplain. A particularly nasty one. Not even three days after you pass the law, all civilization you made was wiped out by a massive flood. Meanwhile, my clone is having tea at my hill. On top of a well arranged anvil.
