The alien menace turns out to be my magma monster self who it turns out is still alive. I saw the XCOM flag and sat over the hill.

Using the skulls of those slain in the Hill Wars, concrete, and some soil, I build a new hill with a fortress built within outfitted with artillery and machine guns. I found a settlement around the hill fortress. It grows to become a small town, and additional fortifications are built around it. It adopts the name Skullfort Hill.

I go supervillan and decide to destroy all the hills in the world, as well as those who desire them. The people of Skullfort Hill agree, and I turn the shelter into an underground layer with hydroponic farms and factories. We will strike when we can deal the most damage.
