Oza's eyes widened...

"I've got..seven gold to spend. Can you make me a Longsword?

A good one, I mean."

(Their defense is so pathetic that it actually increases their received damage. I'm not fixing that, because they're level zero.)
You fire an arrow, with a direct hit on the enemy! The enemy receives 13 damage(12 dealt, plus one soaked)
You fire two more arrows, the first missing, the second just barely hitting(-2 damage). The enemy receives 7 damage, for a total of 20!

Oza wondered.

"What I'm doing, I can't afford to fail.

Just make me the best you can. I'll pay whatever it takes.

Um, within reason."

(The only reason to take it on in a straight fight is to gain a bunch of levels at once. Speaking of, focus your points into your unarmored skill when you do gain a level. After 35, it starts becoming just as good as having armor.)
----Caer Baelian----
You cast Area Collapse on the bear, dealing 90 damage.
The bear gets up and slams the ground, knocking your elemental down and stunning it.(One turn of combat missed)

It's working! It has to be. I'll have to run soon to regain my energy. I'm exerting it far too quickly, and I'm sure I'll be out of mana shortly.

----Caer Baelian----
You wait for your mana to recover.
Your elemental gets back up.
The bear seems to be preparing for something.
You cast Area Collapse, your elemental casts Body Collapse. 110 damage is dealt to the bear.
The bear still seems to be preparing for something.

What's this? The bear seems to be preparing for something? This can't be an ordinary bear. Even the ones in the encyclopedia didn't bide their time while getting attacked within their own home. Ah! I know. If the bear attacks it will have to hit the tree first. This should waste it's time while I recover my mana. He ran up to the nearest tree and hid behind it, making sure that he could still see the bear.

"I thought I would be able to save more lives by trying to talk the nobles out of their war, but I failed. And now I return, because I intend to fight a war for the people caught in-between, and under the weight of this war, now I seek to fix the things this war has caused, and free those who fight of for the people of their sins. I have returned to guide you to your freedom, and save as many lives as I can by ending this war before it can drag on any longer. I will sacrifice myself if it will save more lives then living will do, is that what you ask of me child? If so that is what I shall do." Lilith replied, her face locked in a deep sadness, and her bottomless pits of sorrow for the deaths she may have caused.

'They don't seem to get any nearer!'

'A couple more wouldn't hurt.'

Nessara turned to check on the Captain, before notching another arrow and aiming for the wounded foe.

Fire another volley (~2) against the wounded enemy. Then switch to polearm.

Roscow rubs his head in confusion, why would the mob off it's own loyal poison dispenser?

"Might have been somebody else in there who bit it... Either way, I need to grab somebody in the damn mob to get to the bottom of this mess. Might as well wait around a bit."

Roscow waits for people to leave, picking up the trail of somebody (hopefully the doctor, or the people hauling the body).

----Caer Baelian----
You run behind a tree and wait.
The bear raises its paws and begins what appears to be a smash attack.
Partway through the bear's attack lightning strikes and divides between its paws, and a crater is formed where the attack hits the ground.
Your elemental was defeated!
The bear took 250 damage from its attack!

Oza thought for a moment...

"I like a longsword with a generous reach, one handed-I usually do a lot of enhancement magics, so I prefer a heavy, reinforced grip and a strong hilt for parrying. I broke the last few like that, anyway."

Nessara grit her teeth as the blows found their mark. Pain, was relative now and she was too slow to parry any of the attacks before fully drawing out her weapon. It was by chance that the shaft of her polearm did help, allowing less space for the assailants to push forward and deliver deeper strikes.

She swung her weapon at the last enemy, keeping up the attack and not letting him get any closer,
despite the pain. It was a duel now, if any other tricks were expected, she hoped the Captain was doing
fine.

Attack with polearm until health < 14 or until any other interruptions.

"Face me like a man, thief!"

(Why do half of you use green for text?)
----Oza Al'Alasi----
The man steps out from behind the counter and takes the money from you. He puts the gold in a small box and hands Elaina's bag back to you. He prepares a few things, some iron, wood, tools, and the smelter.
"There are a few things you should know, kid. First, I never let a costumer who wants a sword made walk out on me, they stay until it's finished. Second, the flames of my smelter are special. When I lived in the Dread Forest, the moonlight fae taught me a few things about how to make weapons, and this fire is the product of those teachings. So be ready for what comes out."
You're forced to stay and watch the man work on your sword, but you find yourself not minding at all. You observe the entire process in wonder, and feel a sense of disappointment when he's finished. The man kicks you out shortly after, but you're amazed to find that it's still night. You give the blade a few good practice swings before placing it in its sheath you now have fastened on your back. The man must be a genius transcending genius to have finished in such a short time. You hear noises in the distance again.
----Nessara Idyll----
You attack the enemy, dealing 12 damage!
The enemy is charging a spell.
You attack again, dealing 17 damage!
The enemy raised a magic barrier!
Seven more enemies have appeared!
