Saru whipped back, avoiding the roundhouse punch, but came back too quickly and got punched in the chest twice. He wondered if bare-knuckle contact with the thicker metal of his torso hurt the man's fists as he threw an uppercut at Winter's stomach.

A whirring noise came from his armrest before a glass of bubbling liquid rose from within it.
Picking the glass up, Mal sipped, and looked out at the stars.
"You know, Computer, I always wondered what those lights in the sky were. Ever since I were a little boy, I would sit in my chair and stare up at the sky, wishing to be up there among it all. At first, I wanted to be a sun skimmer, gathering fuel for the frigates, whooshing through solar flares and low over stars, waiting till my ship was about to melt to leave. So, when I left the Academy I headed straight for the recruitment centre, an' I told them..."
The frigate cruised on, silent in the dead of space.

he turned towards the operating bot. He hadn't tried the thing out since he entered the Ship. Although nanobots and painkillers did many jobs, they still couldn't repair organs, treat tumours and set a bone. They merely helped the body to increase the production of cells. But as it is the operating bot was able to do the work a normal surgeon only 10 times more precise. Still like a walker it needed somebody to operate it.

He started the machine which began to hum in a low rhythm.

IT'S BEATING TIME! Tom threw a punch at the CD player. Bon Jovi, living on a prayer came on. Tom threw a front punch to the left, and then a snap kick to SARU's chest. He then followed up with a Sideways power attack.

Wesley was getting restless, he couldn't stay in his room any longer, the noise was unbearable.  It wasn't loud or really all that obnoxious, but it was noise, not the good noise either, explosions of laughter instead of well.. explosions, the drone of voices instead of machines, the squeaking of bed springs instead of the squeaking of.. well nothing really squeaks in war or space... except for maybe ship mice, but those aren't really more desirable.  Wesley was bored, he needed his adrenaline pumping, which is what brought him to the roof's edge.  He wasn't planning on jumping, but simply being there three, four stories up, whichever.  It just made him feel alive, or mostly alive, he was a good bit machine, but that doesn't give him much of a mortality complex, he's not suicidal, more.. sacrificial.

It was getting dark, he could tell cause his eyes were starting to bleed into night vision, sorta like those glasses that become sunglasses, but with like night vision.  He looked up at the sky towards the space port one last time, muttering under his breath as he made his way off the ledge and back to his room.
