@ Eagle-eye/Kilowatt:
Yay strategic differences! Game's becoming entertaining. As everything becomes more messed up (things WILL go south, though the rate at which it does depends on how smart/lucky you are) options will all enter the grey-area. For the most part, I will respect the wishes of individual players, but if there's significant disagreement, you should settle it on this board (whether appealing to logic, or pure "in character" stubbornness. Or you can put it to a vote.
Bottom line though: no matter what your characters may think about the others, YOU should be civil to other PLAYERS.@ Dwarmin: In case anyone's curious, the chances that Doc Aurelius was actually infected is only around 3%.
He did a good job rinsing after all.
Since you took a bite of the gum anyway, but have a fairly good chance of not getting infected due to washing...
I'm gonna ask your character sleep apart from the rest of the group, at least 5 days. On the 2nd floor, so nothing can get you that doesnt get past us first. Please, dont group with someone unless theres at least 2+ of them along with you, in case you spazz out. And of course, report any symptoms.
Don't mistake my intentions. We *will* kill you if you do not cooperate. This is for your safety as well as ours. Do you understand? and if it comes to it, I trust you will take your own life rather than become one of them.
A few clarifications are in order. The longest incubation rate possible is a 6, which is day night day night day night (6 action phases, the equivalent of 3 full turns) from the time the infective agent is introduced into the body.
What was the chance that Doctor Marcus Aurelius was actually infected from the Chewing gum? As it turns out, not that high.
He would need to fail all 4 rinses in order to miss the contaminant. That's 0.5
4= 6.25%. On the off chance that he did ingest some unsavory component, he has a 50% chance to resist it. That means overall there's only 3.125% chance that he will turn.
Assuming that he was extremely unlucky, and rolled a 6 for incubation, time would have started counting down before Turn 2 even started. That means 2 phases have already passed, and even the most rigorous quarantine would only require him to be kept under watch for 4 more phases, so Turns 3 & 4.
I hope that helps
Edit: Please note that Turn 3 will NOT be posted on the 30th.
