Fought a running battle with some zombies, a few of which threw clouds of electricity my way. I barely managed to kill them all as I dove through the window into a home that I thought was abandoned. Came face to face with more zombies (yay...) and was promptly torn apart.

Had a good run going, too. At least by my standards. Which is to say that I was alive for longer than ten minutes and managed to get myself properly armed.

First mission.  I'm trying to fly in formation to get used to PS2 controls again.  And then Edge turns and collides with my plane.

Ace Combat 5.  I die more in this series from midair collisions and the terrain then from actual enemy fire.

AND AGAIN! This time it was with one of the bombers attack Sand Island in the fourth mission.  I was playing with the cockpit view on for a change of pace, and I'm still getting used to it.

One rookie takes three steps off the Skyranger and is instantly blasted from all sides by what seems like 30 invisible mutons with nigh-perfect aim. I manage to get three rookies into cover behind the Skyranger's wheels and under the landing ramp. I end my turn, figuring I'll have the rookies locate the mutons before I put my more experienced/better equipped troops in danger.

On the alien's turn, they lob an alien grenade right into the Skyranger and pick off the rookies that I thought were well in cover.

I somehow convinced myself that it was possible to do a controlled burn in the heart of a jungle biome, and that doing so was the best possible way to begin landscaping an area for my castle. The jungle biome is still burning in all directions and I've died about three times trying to put all the fires out.

Was fighting a Necromancer (and a bunch of skeletons and zombies and whatnot) on top of this big tower that was just a ladder going way way up until it ended in a half-sphere. The fight was on the top of that, and I was about to die, so I jumped off the edge, safely landing in the water.

Was confused about why I was still getting weird status effects when I realized the Necromancer had followed me.

Minecraft. I think the modpack is Hexxit? It's on a friend's server. I lost a really neat frost sword at the bottom of that ocean...

Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead

On a survival server, I managed to find two people willing to form an alliance and build a house together. Everything was going swimmingly, until one of my cohorts decided to straight up murder a random passerby and loot his stuff.

The sudden influx of high-value goods was fun for a while. Then, randomly when we were digging out more living space, we heard a certain hissing sound right above our heads.

I decided to try a bronzeman playthrough of FarCry3.  I was inspired by the first couple videos of Nerd^3's ironman run.  I'm going to roll a percentile die for every time I die, and if any show up zero, I have to take the bad ending.

During the intro sequence my brother was getting far ahead, so I decided to uncrouch for a moment.

The group consisted of me, a bard named Thea put in by CM Partners, Martin, 3 legionnares and pretty much the entire remnant of the Kvatch Guard. And I just had to be in front.
