Who knows what'll happen if they win it now.

The last time the Cubs won the WS, it had been six years since Hibernian FC had won the Scottish Cup.

They won it again at the end of the 2015/16 season, four years after they were horribly embarrassed by their cross-town rivals by a score of 5-1 in the 11/12 season's cup final.

They're only the same if you forget to check your live trap. The mental image of a small mouse slowly starving to death in a plastic cell had me checking mine 3-4 times a day, easy.

Not good for anxiety, but better than finding that your lethal trap has broken the mouse's spine but not killed it, so you need to take it outside and finish it off yourself as it looks up at you with terror and pain and confusion in its eyes.


Gods, but I was glad when that mouse infestation ended.

This why you have cats. Then even if you need a trap and the mouse does survive you just have to point the cat at it and let nature take its course.

Or dogs, I guess. Most breeds are less likely to get along with eating the thing, though.

Though having cats around generally means you just don't have (or at least notice) mouse infestations. Also means you might have missing other pets if you have hamsters get lose or something, but those damned vermin get whatever's coming to them and good riddance.
