There was a sentence here some years ago where a man was absolved of rape because according to the judge "the supposed victim was wearing jeans, and as everyone knows, those can't be gotten off without consent".

I dont know if he got condemned in an appeal or even if there was an appeal, but yeah, it's pretty ridiculous.


It's not as if the judicial system (in general, everywhere) isn't just that, though.

Dear god this is horrible.  I guess at least one jury got it right though:

An Italian jury upheld a rape conviction in 2008 when lawyers brought a skinny jeans defense, saying "jeans cannot be compared to any type of chastity belt."

I haven't felt this bad while reading about a case since the McGrail "She would have tried the patience of a saint" trial.

Did you read the comments, and how they decided that she lied because the jury must have had some reason not to find in her favor?

Onto some man (or woman, but statistically... really, probably not) you would have never expected to do it, who was a nice guy with a bright future, who should be permitted to continue on and not throw that future away.  Indeed, she should accommodate him.
