Little bolts up beside Sof and snatches the drink, keeping her head low as she swallows a gulp!

Handing the drink back to Sof, she grins, "Thanks, needed that."

Suddenly there was a loud noise from above, and a shadow enveloped the two groups. A Thunderhawk Gunship appeared to follow them, four missiles flying ahead of the two groups, towards the tunnel...

(Time's up!)

 Duke somehow reached up from the debilitating effects of the drink and tears the remains of the bottle and the drink from the Martians hands. His frame barely propels him back at the chasing Space Marine. With an awkward underhand heave he tosses the bottle at the WorkerDrone and collapses to the ground.

(You can choose if you want the effect to happen to you or just let it crash to the ground. Your choice.)

 On the ground he gets a nauseating sensation as the world seems to shift. It was not so much a pulling sensation or tearing as much as suddenly loosing ones balance and stepping to the side. As quickly as the effects take him down they leave. Instead of the concrete and filth of a city alley there was the cool rough surface of paving stones. As there was no light in this subterranean place, that was all he knew in this world. He was no longer in the city of The Twelve Bays.

Then, the world shifts.

Dakk decides to run, taking advantage of the quick legs the holy toady had given him, he mumbles to himself while he runs:

"EXPLODE GAWDAMIT, EXPLODE ALREADY, FUUUUUUU"

(Dakk gotsa go, just assume i'm running and decide if the pretty bluey orby bladey thing explodes or not).

While WorkerDrone was about to take hold of the flying Duke, he was utterly taken by surprise by the bottle, and the effects afterwards. The explosions, the shells flying through the air, his objectives, and for a split second the light faltered. The world shifts.

In both worlds, New Mars stands up.

In the new world of light, he seems to be made of metal, until on further inspection, he seems to be made entirely of his artificial life. In the real world, he seems closer to who he used to be.

Real: "You two! You are now under arrest under coalition directive 14, 42-e and m-16: abandonment of post, commiting a war crime towards an allied nation, and firing on a commanding officer."

Little latches onto Sof, squeezing in a little grope before expected death. The death never came, oddly, and they sure as hell weren't in Kansas anymore. Knife, check. Handgun, check. This might not be Kansas, but she could handle it.

 A flare light up the masonry around Duke with it's unhelpful red light. Around him he could see the various others who had finally followed his plan. He didn't want to have this many people along, but more than likely they would need meatshields for some of the crap that likely fled down here. He coughs, which while loud in the silent darkness did not produce an echo. There was not a star in the sky.
 "Alright, time to explain. The wastes have a vast cavern underneath it. That is where we are. The plan was to use old magic on a weak spot where the nonsense of the wastes had bled through to appear down here, and thus climb up and out into the wastes without meeting any border guards."
 He digs into his backpack and dumps a bunch of other flares to the ground, more than enough for the group.
 "Considering the things that have happened up on the surface, I would not be surprised of some of those horrors climbed down here during the old crazy days. Things that are not meant to see daylight."
