Racism is usually good for hatemail. You could call him a Kiwi? Maybe find some obscure national sport or tradition and laugh at his inferior society and identity?
Sexism also works. Just call them cis.
Sectarianism is a personal favourite - call him out for all those blasphemous tenants you don't agree with!
If you've seen a picture of him, you could find something demeaning in his appearance?

I'm out of tips for now. Maybe something to do with hobbies or internal philosophies? You're getting into more subtle territory there, though, and hatemail is at its best when used as a cudgel.

Also, whoever said something about narcissism, I've had personal experience with it, or something very close to it (as in clinically my doctor(s) were worried about it, I believe), and I can tell you that external locus of identity was not the case whatsoever. For me it was more along the lines of 'all my problems are other people's faults, why do they have to be so hateful/mean/stupid/clumsy/selfish?' and 'I'm the best and everyone else is dumb, so I don't need them anyway'.

Needless to say, this was a self-reinforcing cycle and I'm very glad I broke out. While it can be hard to socialize after it, I'd say narcissism is way better than depression. Easier to learn humility and empathy than self-confidence and self-appreciation.

Problem with that is NZ always beats Australia at sport in general. So I can't really insult his nationality that way, 'specially since I don't like sport myself. You might be onto something with appearance though, oranges are obviously second-class fruits.

I think I've called him that once or twice.  _{Mostly while drunk, but, I mean I have a coworker who self identifies with the word and uh}
