It's... technically not the housing, but the land it's sitting on, which is why they're able to tell the folks on it to more or less fuck off.

The real "fun" starts in a few months when any number of them haven't been able to facilitate a move and the land owner starts suing them for not getting the mobile home off the property. That's the next step, incidentally. They might actually lose the house itself due to it being seized to pay off accrued legal fees related to the building still being in place :-\

I dunno the exact way it plays out, or if it's "legal fees" or not. I think it's damages whether or not the lawyer is involved because you usually pay your own legal fees in the US from what I get. So the landlord or trailer park owner or whoever would be the one paying the lawyer and they can't just shove that on the tenant unless there's something saying they can. Same deal how I can't just sue someone and hand them my lawyer's bill most of the time. I think it'll probably be more like they'll get sued to be forced to move it by a certain day and if they don't then they get fined or the amount they owe increases.

I can kinda almost see it, because it starts with "somebody can't have their house on your land," or whatever.
That kinda forgets that the person had their house there forever and was paying rent for it to be there.
Except now they're just booting them all off the everything for whatever reason.

Usually, and I'm not being judgmental or saying trailer parks are bad or whatever, but usually they put trailer parks on land nobody wanted for anything else. Now they've all of a sudden decided they want something else there. Seems weird.
