I typed up a long rant about how it's not really a generalisation. Then I deleted it because I realised that it was exactly what you were referring to.

Anyway, I'm quite happy with being sad if that's the cost of generalising.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

I think the truth I've discovered is that most people are ok, and many people are smart/kind/other good qualities. The unfortunate problem is being stupid/an ass also means you don't know how to control your vocal volume. What I'm trying to say is, dumb people are really friggin' loud, so the majority of noise you hear is stupid, because the smart people are sitting quietly formulating a proper response, and only speak up here or there, once they've fully investigated the situation.

Unless you're in highschol then the number stupid is multiplied by a fourth of the people in the class to the power of fish

Yeah, my mom is a whole nother story. I love her, but due to her several mental problems she refuses to have treated or diagnosed, it's hard.

I'm not sure what part of things is a disorder or part of one for me, as far as the overgeneralizing. After you've been burned a lot sometimes it appears everybody is stupid and/or out to get you/out to advance themselves at your expense. I dunno. Defense mechanism, I suppose.

One of my friends (an about 60 other people) got food poisoning from a conference at a hotel. She's okay for now, but food poisoning is a terrible thing to have.

My viewpoint changed from "everyone is smarter than me" to "everyone is stupider than me" to "everyone is stupid and terrible".
You find true zen when you reach "Everyone, including me, is stupid and terrible."
The great struggle of life is trying to make yourself less stupid, and less terrible.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Spent a bunch of money on a game which immediately lost my interest.

But unlike Archeage, I don't think I can get a refund.

I don't even have a school holiday today, so there's that going for you.

God I wish I had a holiday today. God I need more sleep. God I hate going out and being around people. God I hate going out and being around people when I'm already tired as hell and need more sleep dammit. God I hate going out and being around people when I'm tired as hell and have a crushing sinus headache. Uuuuuugh.
