My cat survived being dragged off by a raccoon when he was about 6 months old.

He came back a day and a half later, limping and having an obviously hurt shoulder (we think he was bitten there).

Hope you get as lucky.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I drifted off to sleep on the couch while my cat was still outside, he isn't coming home right now even when I use his favorite words: treat and hungry. Hope he is ok.

I couldn't find his cat treats, but all I had to do to get him instantly under foot was crack open a tuna can on the front porch.

My cat disappeared two months ago. I still don't know what happened to her, but I've mostly assumed the worst  :(

So long, Suzy Q. It was a good 17 years.

yes. I can only assume he realized I was worried and was waiting for me to increase the reward for coming home.

17 years is a pretty good run for a cat. Still sad though. My childhood cat disappeared for 2 weeks after my older sister ran over her in the drive way. She eventually came back with her leg rotted off. She lasted a bit more than another year before dementia set in. That can was about 15 or 16 at the time.

Necro was banned, I knew it would happen but still I had this small sparkle of hope that he would get the hold of himself. I quess it was too much to hope for... I found him likeable, if troublesome poster. Reminded me of my good friend. I'll drink a glass of mineral water as a ritual of wishing good luck for him in his future endeavours.

In other news, I looked closely in the mirror while ago and I noticed that I look absolutely hideous. As If I hadn't been sleeping at all in the last 6 months, which is pretty accurate actually.

Well, I'm saddened by Necro910's ban, because nobody will maintain his Dorf Space mod.

What did he do? All I know is I've seen his posts here and there, but I don't think I've seen anything ban-worthy.

Derailing threads, ignoring moderation warnings.

As much as I hate to see people go, he still didn't follow the rules, and rules are rules.

So yeah.

A toast. Cheers, for Necro.

Just found out Necro's been banned.

Well he was immature at times and he did break the rules, but he I liked his magma meme which he dragged from the upper forums...It reminded me of when I played DF near religiously. Necro was, in my mind, part of the Regulars™ of Bay 12.

Au revoir, high priest of magma.

Was told by the pediatrician that our 5 month old baby boy is sleep deprived, because he's a freaking genius and knows to wake up in the middle of the night several times to eat more.

So it's 3:30am, and I'm checking on him every 10 min and consoling him, but he needs to go back to sleep. Poor little guy is really upset. :( Can't do this for more than an hr at a time, it breaks me.

It seems a growing number of people I talk to ask how they can get legal services without paying a lawyer. Fuck it, I just say, "represent yourself and lose." Why yes you get a silent, blank stare in your general direction. Yes, I'm fully aware you're uncomfortable, that's my express intention. Yes, I'm doing it on purpose. I'm going to keep doing it til something smart comes out of you or you leave, and given that you're a leech I'm ok with either one. Nothing, that's what my services are worth to you?

That's like saying, "I need my house painted and I want you to do it for free."

You know what else is sad? The bar association meets in an actual bar instead of someplace like the law library....
