*snip*

Though I understand that you're upset by this Martinuzz, your post bears too much of a resemblance to right wing identity politics and should probably be edited before too many people see it. There are lots of white people who support Palestine because they believe Israel is committing literal genocide, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of those got involved in that riot as well. It's not just *insert unpopular minority here* who are doing the crimes.

You are probably right. It's not just muslims, but it's mostly muslims from countries that have 'eliminate jews and get rid of Israel' in their kindergarten curriculum.
Behaviour like this is what makes extreme right parties grow. They are a double threat. A threat to jews, and a threat to our society. They are making people vote for present day Hitlers with their racist murder attempts.
I have edited the post somewhat. I am just too disgusted and angry. We said 'never again' after 1945, and yet it's happening again. The attack of 2 days ago was just... Insane terrorist crazies that have no place walking free in society regardless of their beliefs.
Sometimes it's hard to keep the cool if your own life is threatened.

Don't disremember history. Over 90% of the Dutch jewish population was sent to Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen and Sobibor. We have a strong history of saying 'never again'. People threatening jews in our country are walking dead for a lot of folks still, if only we had guns.

It was a good edit.

Sadly, it feels like people have forgotten all of the lessons of WWII. When WWIII happens, it will be hard to say that humanity didn't deserve it.

People don’t learn that violence doesn’t solve anything, that’s the problem.

I disagree. Sometimes people who profess violent views that are specifically targeted towards vulnerable groups only learn to moderate themselves when met with violence (or the threat of it) directed at them intended to prevent them hurting said violent groups. Sure, over time they may forget that lesson and it may need reteaching... It's the intolerance paradox, basically.

I would suggest if a lesson needs to be learned multiple times, it’s not an effective lesson.

All violence does is beget more violence.

I find that hard to state as an absolute truth.
My great grandparents and their familiy were all members of the pacifist society, with broken gun badges and all.
Then came Hitler and killed most of them.

Violence sometimes is nescessary. If there had not been violence, those of you that would be egligable for qualification as aryan would all speak geman, and those of you who do not would all be dead now, or never born to begin with.

Violence should always be a last resort though.

Violence is never a good solution to a problem. For some problems, however, there is no good solution and waiting to employ violence until the last resort only makes things worse.

Most of the time, however, attempting to solve problems with violence will only escalate your problems beyond your capacity to inflict violence.

Generally violence being an appropriate solution is in situations where violence is being performed on you. A nation's under attack, someone's attempting to shank you, that sort of thing. The other situations where it's appropriate are more niche.

Although I do think of The Expanse when this conversation comes up.

"Violence is what people do when they run out of good ideas. It's attractive because it's simple, it's direct, it's almost always available as an option. When you can't think of a good rebuttal for your opponent's argument, you can always punch them in the face."

Violence is a solution you need in your back pocket, been in situations where I don't want to be violent but someone took that out of my control.

I'm pretty good with non violent methods. Talk my way out of stuff. When someone means you violence, and are on stuff, they mean you violence no matter what.

People in Valencia clearing their towns of mud and searching for dead should cease their efforts for now.
New heavy rains incoming to Valencia, Catalonia and Andalusia. Schools have been closed, and people are being evacuated.
The rains are not expected to be as heavy as two weeks ago, but because sewer systems are clogged with mud still, more floods can be expected.
