Anyway, update coming up.  Unless a bunch of posts follow this one before it's done I'll post it as an edit to this post.

You camp out in a hidden area until nightfall.  Once it's dark, and the slaves have been taken inside, you explain to the drunks to wait until you reach the cave, then start doing things in the clearing to get the goblins' attention and run away before they send soldiers.  The drunks agree, but would clearly rather be attacking directly. 

After convincing them that safety is a priority and that they wouldn't get anything accomplished charging the gate, you set off toward the cliff face.  Remaining in the woods as long as possible allows you to avoid the occasional patrol, and soon you've reached the mountainside where you can easily conceal yourselves.  The mountain is rough going, but the path isn't so steep that you need a rope, and after an hour of climbing you reach the cave mouth.  It is relatively narrow, and will require single-file travel.  The moon's ambient light only reaches around ten feet into it, and all past that is dark.

An acidic smell wafts out from the cave, and you hear the sound of light, scuttling footsteps from deeper in.

Also also, after this adventure I'll no longer be using ASCIIdraw.  The interface is too clunky, and even if it has the DF feel, I just don't like it.  I'll be using MapX, because I have a grid paper fetish and it makes me feel like I did when I made stuff with a pencil and paper.

Alright, sorry, the power went out and caused my modem to reset and I had to go through tech support to get it fixed.  That was a nightmare.

Anyway, you make your way into the cave.  It's narrow and twisting, and it's impossible to walk in anything but single-file.  After a short while, the cave opens up into a small, irregular oval room, not more than 20 feet at its widest.  Two antmen are scuttling around inside, and as your light falls upon them, they hiss and attack!

What do you do?
