I have to agree with evilmonk here.  You're in a cave.  Sound echoes like crazy in a cave, and this cave may or may not be directly connected to the fortress with hundreds of goblins.  Especially if you're not using bardic music, and simply playing your instrument during a fight(Which won't endear you to your comrades), it may be a bad idea.

Also, inaluct got a two week ban for calling people faggots.  I don't think that's a good idea either.

Cog sulks throughout the fight, unwilling to participate if he can't play his lute.  Ushav charges forward and swings his scythe at the nearest antman, but his hand slips and it misses completely.  The two antmen lunge at him attempting to bite him!  He manages to get his scythe up in time and holds them away from his face while Stalcon runs into the fray, punching both antmen.  His first swing is deftly dodged, and his second, while striking home, simply collides with the antman's heavy carapace, doing little but anger it.
Vice utters a short incantation and a ray of cold streaks out, but his aim is off, and it strikes the wall.

The first round is over, and the dice hate you all.
