I figured the "slaves" wouldn't be much help.  They're brainwashed, not chained up.

I wonder if we could have the Drunks just run around in sight of the tower and cause a ruckus, then make off back for the town.  Meanwhile we'll go in that cave on in cliff.  Should definitely wait until we're up there to start.

Is that what everyone else wants to do?

Somewhat related to the topic at hand:

For a good time, read the monster manuals in order from Monster Manual 1 to Monster Manual 5 or whatever we're at now.  You can literally see the writers running out of ideas.

The first monster manual we have mostly staples:  Trolls, ogres, dragons, goblins, with a few oddballs thrown in like the Tojanida, but by the later books, you're getting stuff like

Spoiler: This (click to show/hide)

Or my personal favorite:

Spoiler: The Tim Burton (click to show/hide)

They really should've stopped at the second Monster Manual.

Indeed, especially in the newer ones, they've got some stuff that I have to think was either drug induced or some very ill-advised reader submissions.
Spoiler: Like this furry shit. (click to show/hide)

But lest anyone forget, the early books were just as bad.

So while we're waiting for other opinions on the infiltration, what do you guys think about permadeath and resurrection?  Should we wait until someone gets capped before we worry about it?

Also, I disagree with that article on the Room of Death Trinity.  That's awesome.

(BRB killing self to erase those monsters from my mind)
(I think resurrection should be allowed just because it's so easy for dicerape to happen in D&D)

Don't worry, I'm not one of those DMs.  I don't like killing characters, but sometimes it happens.

I think it would be wise if we waited until it was later, and snuck in. it will be much easier at night

Alright, well, I didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm gonna be getting off soon.  Infiltration on the morrow.

Also, I'm going to be honest.  I'm drawing a huge blank on adventure number 2.  I can't think of anything I wouldn't prefer to save for later.

Have limited number of available resurrections (3?), to let beginning players 'learn' and to give them chances, but after that last resurrection you have to venture INTO HELL ITSELF to get them out, (i.e. dig into HFS and save your allies!)

I don't know.  We'll worry about it when someone dies.

Anyway, what do you guys think?  Do you agree with what Aqizzar and evilmonk have said about going about getting into the fortress?
