Overlord's log
Ah, here it is. I've been looking for my recorder for weeks.
Today marked the day of yet another seeming malfunction. One of Aqizzar's forgebots just rushed into the foundry without a work order and proceeded to slam aluminum bars into the forge. I was about to negotiate a deal with the supply caravan and he suddenly burst into the trade depot, snatced some flexible organic covering and rushed off, screaming static. He was later spotted running out of the general storage with ornamental stones in his grippers.
Everyone knows my policy on unauthorized use of resources. Aqizzar is thankfully not making any excuses for him, AS HE SHOULDN'T. The drones report that he is mostly by himself, which propably means he still has little influence with the foundry workers. He is not a threat, and thus safe. For now.
Work is continuing on roofing over the compound, transforming into a bunker. I've also planned to relocate the SysAdmin's office to overlook the trade depot and sub-level entrance. Because I have less work to do, I felt particularly generous when laying out the office. It will have a clear glass window, and its position near the armory and practice area guarantees immediate response to invaders. I should propably have a training center set up in the compound, but space is a problem. We will have to construct a new wall around the bunker and..What is that? WHAT IS THAT?
*audible, metal clunk*

...I am at a loss here as to what to do with the forgebot. He just slammed a...humongous aluminum blade on my desk. The first two made small model axes. This one says he couldn't find big enough logs in the storage for the handle. This is...well...I just don't know what to say. It's not practical to use as an axe, but a blade of this size could easily have other uses, like base defence. As a reward, I will overlook the maker's appropriation of Steelgripped resources and let him continue his work. The near-perfect design of this ridiculously large blade shows that he's also quite a masterful producer of weapons. Arms of this high quality will surely benefit a Doom Fortress as succesful as Steelgripped.
End of line.
