Petra

"GET AWAY FROM THAT!"

Wildly attack Borble A with my warhammer (1.0), disregarding defending myself in favor of doing as much damage to Borble A as possible.

"Doraido, can you dedicate some amount of power to healing me a bit? Doesn't need to be much."

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

[Light]"Light Bind"x1.0 A band of Light curves ahead of Petra, continuing on to bind Borble A from countering, allowing Petra to focus entirely upon killing it.

That done, swing the shovel at Borble B.

Inanna, take out Borble C with an Sundew 2.0 if you would? Summon: Inanna

(The Sundew should stick around afterward, if we're lucky.)

(By the way, could we get who's who attached to the dryads list? Because I cannot keep it straight which player corresponds to which dryad.)

"You may be overestimating just how well it will actually kill these things with so little power put into it. I would much rather simply devour one of these whelps, but if you insist."

If summoned, use both power to cast Giant Sundew underneath Borble C.
Then just punch Borble A.

Spring 6, Year 1

It has stopped raining.

Doraido (Please include your character name in future posts) casts Light Bind on Borble A to lock it in place! Having used all their power multiplier on Light Bind, they are unable to swing the shovel as a conventional attack as well.

Petra strikes Borble A with all his might with the Stone Warhammer. Unable to be knocked back due to being held by light bind, the Borble takes 3 damage! The warhammer breaks from the impact and returns to ordinary pebbles!

Inanna has been summoned temporarily for 2 mana!

Inanna invokes Giant Sundew at power 2.0! A giant sundew has been created near Borble C. Having used all power on the Giant Sundew, Inanna is unable to also punch something however.

The Giant Sundew latches onto Borble C and inflicts 1 damage! Borble C hits it back to deal 1 damage; but having been created at power 2.0 the Sundew is able to tank this hit!

Borble B hits Inanna for 1 damage. This ultimately does not really matter as Inanna desummons at turn's end.

Borble A struggles to attack, shaking off the Light Bind but failing to hit anything!

Borble A: 1/5hp
Borble B: 1/5hp
Borble C: 1/5hp

The tree is partially encircled by defenses.
Some low-quality mulch has been created

Control Defense Tutorial
Certain dryad abilities will create "Defenses" that are capable of a non-zero degree of autonomy. These can be controlled via the new "Control Defense" spell. The Giant Sundew can be made to do things such as release an unintended victim using this ability. Why would you bother to do this? Well for one thing, the spell is free!

Petra

Summon a Vinewall (1.0) to launch Borble B into the air, hopefully causing it to expire upon reaching the ground.

"Doraido, cast Absorb on A to finish it off! Whoever cares to, make sure that Sundew finishes C!"

1 vote for somebody getting to Control Defense to use the Sundew to finish off Borble C.

My understanding was that the Sundew will continue to attack on its own, since it did so in the first place, and controlling is needed if we want to make it do something ELSE.
I don't feel the need to put this in character.

I tend to still be of the opinion that, if there's no cost, then it's best to make sure rather than simply be sure. We can always be wrong about what's going to happen.

If Supernerd would like to clarify about what the Sundew will do without control, I would gladly like to hear it.

Thinking, since Sundews are carnivorous, it makes no sense to assume it’d stop attacking prey
