I mentioned this before, but if you don't know how much power you need to do something, you don't magically have the power to use exactly what you need.

Break the Lifelink without using any power whatsoever. If that doesn't work, use 1.0 to link Petra and I. Use remainder for healing.

I have no clue if I need power, but it doesn't take any to try to break it without right?

You can't just "use remainder".

0.0 power to break Lifelink> if Lifelink not broken, 1.0 to link Petra=Doraido. 1.0 to Heal Giant Sundew, 1.0 to Heal Giant Sundew.

Serial Orders with a conditional on 1 of them. If that conditional triggers, the last order cannot complete. Use remainder seems sensible?

I don't want to see conditional player actions.

Though I will mention this because its a combination of things that are either blatantly obvious or previously mentioned. Using a skill at 0.0 magnitude is the same as not using a skill at all. It is also possible to resist an effect even if the effect is not strictly detrimental in nature.

So I can't even dissipate a Lifelink without using the skill?

If the life link was used on yourself, you can try to resist your own enchantment without using the ability.

So Petra can break it by willing it broken?

Chaning action to focus on heal and let the turn progress.

Winter 3, Year 1

The wind is picking up!

Oak Oak invokes Control Defense in an attempt to make the Giant Sundew go into a state of hibernation. Unfortunately, this does not appear to be an ability that this plant has, and having broken its limits once, doing so again will be exponentially harder!

Petra manages to escape from the south area and heads back to the tree. Petra then invokes Petrify at magnitude 2.0. This is not enough to petrify all of the vines, but it does get enough to do something with. In their withered state, they will not function as a wall without additional processing.

Petra manages to resist the effects of Lifelink! Petra's health reverted to 6.
(Note that in the future I may not assume you are trying to resist an effect just because you vocalize it)

Doraido invokes healing on the Giant Sundew at magnitude 2.0 to restore 2 health to it! However, it seems that the weather is going to continue to be a major problem for it and it lost 1 more health this turn. Unless you plan to heal it for the entire season it is probably better to invest your energy elsewhere.

A frostling has manifested in the area!

Frostling: 5/5 hp

There are dead vines in the area
There are petrified vines here.

I don't like that thin, it seems like if enough gather it will be bad for our tree.

Doraido looks over the Sundew.

May be best to not bother anymore. If it can't begin hibernation, then another could be made later once Inanna is manifested and grown.

I suspect that Lifelinking it and this frostling would kill it, do to conflicting life forces. Something to try if we do plan on ending it before it becomes a threat.

Petra

Try to Petrify (2.0) the rest of the dead vines.

"I'll try to fabricate a better wall once these are all set up.
Probably best to leave the sundew be, yes. I could use some patching up, though."

Doraido

Heal 2.0 Petra.

Hm. think you could make a whip using the Sundew? Or strip it to make stretches of sticky fabric to help with making weapons. I'm interseted to see what could be done with it.
