Hand in my weapons, follow the guards, reminisce about the time when I wasn't shot in the penis.

The journey is short, bringing you to one of the more solid structures in the town. Which happens to be a Poseidon Energy refueling station, suitably decorated with a trident logo. Its door is guarded by one man sitting in a chair next to the glass doors, who nods as the two guards escort you into the building. A lady in a nice dress and glasses sits at a desk behind what was once the cashier counter, working through a stack of paperwork. You are moved behind a door still marked with "employees only", leading to a set of concrete stairs lit by a bare light-bulb. Down you go, into what was once the basement. A couple of crude cells made of old pipes line the walls, one of which the guards place you into.

"Please tell us exactly what happened, sir." Asks one of the guards. They didn't bother locking the cell, it looks like you won't be here too long.

Go and ask a merchant how much 12 gauge shells cost, and if I have any money buy as many as I can afford.

After a quick bartering match, he settles on 11 caps each. You might be able to afford some if you sell the radcat parts.

"Well, apparently I can't because one of the inhabitants of this town is an uncivilized barbarian that randomly attacks visitors with his sharp sticks. Guns are banned but spears are fair game? Bullshit."

Intelligence check, try again. Is seriously everyone in this town fine with having tribals throwing spears at visitors? Give my weapon, but make sure that they check the spear that was stuck in the hay too.

((That really isn't something calling for an Int check. It would be charisma if anything. *shrugs and rolls*. 9, 1. Critical failure thanks to the Tribal's presence. His revenge is swift.))

The commander narrows his eyes at Edgar's statements.
"We are good friend's with our tribal pals. Probably wouldn't be here if it weren't for them. Now people are free to believe whatever they want, but we don't take kindly to racist shooting up the 'uncivilized men with pointy sticks' who hang out around here."

Next to him, you can see one of the guards taking notes with a pen and sheet of paper. You see him writing "possible motive: anti-tribal hate crime". It seems they misunderstood your argument completely. If that wasn't bad enough, looking over the surrounding civilians who have all put their weapons back in their holsters, there are several Tribals glaring daggers your way (and the other witnesses who don't look too impressed). Several indeed have spears nearby.

Somehow, you think your chances of getting a fair trial just took a nose-dive.

They, alongside Vakk, escort Edgar to the same filling station as above. As the cell is already in use, they motion for Edgar to sit on a bench near the entrance. Edgar and Vakk can conveniently continue their conversation along the way.

Try try again.

Not much changes from the second attempt. Once again, the lockpicking attempt hits a snag as the two guards return from the direction of the gunshot. They are apparently looking for you, but you managed to get out of their line-of-sight as they pass by. It does stop you from actually getting into the building.

((Lockpick fail, sneak near success.))

Now for info gathering, but asking questions in addition to listening in.

What questions do you ask?

Attempt to find anyone in need of medical help

Fortunately, nobody else was injured in the brief fight, aside from the hay. Your expertise may be needed later, but for now you are out of work as a medic. Perhaps you should moonlight as a comedian?

"It's all a great misunderstanding! It was an accident, with no ill intent. I, for one, apologise to you... Edgar, is it? When possible, I'll give you your bullet back. Okay?"

Edgar apparently either ignores you, or can't hear you as you are dragged away from him.

Now you are stuck talking to the Guard instead.

Sell the radcat pelts and if I can afford to buy some sells buy some.

Radcat Pelts X3: 15 Caps!

You can now afford 2 Shotgun Shells, which you proceed to do. Frank 3 caps, +2 shells

Attempt to find shop and ask, if merchant has items in need of repair

You can't find any work in the repair business for the moment, it seems that most are in the habit of scrapping the things they can't fix themselves to repair other things. Some of the Tribal merchants speak of rumors that L and C needed something or another repaired, but they seem to be very secretive about their homeland.

Luck roll for the guys to actually realize they saw the guy throw a spear that almost hit me?

Do you really think it will help at this point?

Quietly move away. Casual.

You begin escaping from the not-quite eagle eyed guards. They hadn't seen you yet, right? It shouldn't be too hard to get away. You sneakily make your way out of the residential district, and can see the canvas tarps of the market ten feet away.

When you feel a hand on your shoulder. This close. You where this close to escaping without being noticed....

((Roll to pass: 42. Roll: 43. RIP))

Question about the other towns.

What specific questions are you looking to get answered?

Explain to the guard that Edgar meant nothing wrong by shooting me in the scrotum.

Spin around with my dagger and strike the hand.

Explain to the guard that Edgar meant nothing wrong by shooting me in the scrotum.

"Nothing wrong, eh?"

The guard looks slightly confused as he wrights this down.

"We'll take note of that. A play-by-play would be useful here."

Ask the merchant what three caps will get me.

The merchant responds by pointing to the half-drunken nuka-cola in his hand.

Search for local clinic, and offer to tend people in need of medical help

A woman in a white labcoat assures you that everyone here is getting proper medical treatment.

"But there has been a problem with our supply lines we have been looking to get help with, if you are interest in that. Normally the merchants from L and C bring a large amount of medical herbs and healing powder from their home tribe. With the raider attack, they have been coming around less and less, while we have had to stockpile more and more. We'll pay fair price for any healing equipment or herbs you can bring us."

Spin around with my dagger and strike the hand.

I mean, I'll probably miss, but a guy doesn't just grab a girl like that.

Continuing a string of bad ideas, the young Hikano draws her weapon and stab's at the guard's hand! The guard grabs her wrist, preventing the blade from reaching its target. She breaks away as the guards get ready to tumble, with the far guard pulling the rifle off his back as the near gets in a boxer's stance.
