Leader Traits: Mundane (+4) // Warrior (-1)
Leader Biography: Having adopted a pseudonym since the fall of the portal, Tula was both a fervent believer against the 'doomed' prophecy her allies foretold, and a character driven by passion and the concept of well-being for the populace. Hailing from a bloodline of multiple tribes, with a rich history of both conflict and resolution, and from a stout-hearted people, she was one of the last who had passed through the portal, and one of those who had last glimpsed the mage responsible for their safety--and the chaos of what was once a proud and rich homeland.
She is skilled as a generalist, particularly focused into the arts of statecraft and communication; her skills also carry over into the martial fields, particularly that of the polearm and the bow. Her physique, form, frame, posture, and demeanor, all point towards a disciplined and well-rounded upbringing.

Race Description: To describe the human race is to describe lore and culture lost beyond the portals, much like describing a vivid, lucid dream. In summation, the human race is a particularly varied and dynamic species, characterized and detailed moreso from their adaptation to their surroundings, and their social culture, than any definitive racial characteristic which would stand out to describe them. The members of the human race are shaped like themselves: Distinctly bipedally humanoid; with bilaterally symmetrical appendages (and the upper appendages having opposable thumbs), having a diurnal sleep cycle, warm-blooded for the most part, and with lifespans capable of reaching at least a century. In appearance, Humans are particularly very lightly furred, but have tufts of unusually long fur on their heads, that different humans will shape according to culture; these tufts, or synonymously known as 'hair', is often monochromatic throughout the body, with four distinct shades, from black, to brown, to yellow, and to red; their complexions range from a light pink skin tone, to at least a dark brown coloration, deeply dependent on the climate and area of origin. They often lack an outer layer of insulation from the environment, and utilize varied techniques to adapt, one of which most visible is the creation of 'clothes', often conforming to colorful and stylistic patterns that are generally utilitarian in their concept, but also symbolical, to pertain to status or authority.
In ancient lore, they were supposedly the 'baseline' description of where to conform other descriptors on other races--realistically however, the terminology used was neutral in origin, and pertaining primarily to nomothetic roots, rather than ascribed to humanity as the focal point. However, this baseline phenomenon was not fully rooted in assumptions and mere assuaged measurements; the combined culture of humanity contains consistent mention of wonders in mundane situations, commonly known and detailed for remarkability and miraculous occurrences. While this has often been ascribed to the intangible and unknown nature of thought, that all sentient races share, the mages (before the Fall
TM) deduced it was in the least, tied to an inherent quality of the human race, regardless of birthright or environment.
Humanity as a whole is multiculturally diverse, although the ones who have made it through the portal have adapted to the rugged terrain of the mountains--the terrain wherein the portal was made. While much has been lost of the history of the species, the local history was most preserved: An oral tradition, that of songs of lore, bravery, wisdom, law, governance, and faith in the fellows among the living.
Nation Description:
In hundreds of tongues, in multiple languages and dialects, the common translation is more a symbol than a real name--one of hope, of survival, and of vengeance to the lost homelands of many. The Human race was an ally to most, and was a powerful force before the portal; much was spent and presumed lost in holding the line for the well-being of their allies, and much was paid in blood.
Therein, the human race aims not to make their stay as permanent as possible, but in deference and respect to their past and their ideas of the future, building up stockpiles of food and basic necessities in their planning and resource-keeping for future generations. Their major local culture values kinship, family and community ties, and cultural or humanistic beliefs. The lore of the nation carries a unique, and strong narrative culture, from epics dealing with hero ancestors sung in a poetic manner, to laws of judgement and treatment in an egalitarian standard, of the diverse weave of cultures and beliefs, all towards a common goal of unity. Art, carved from raw resources, notably takes on a utilitarian aspect as well as an aesthetic one, conforming to symbols of protection, progress, and insight, with many being in the form of the people they had interacted with, or in the form of guardians and spiritual watchers. The textiles in history were renowned for their sheer beauty, colorful and yet simplistically elegant. Architecture patterns aimed to be well-built, characterized with form and function, and with the current scenario, conforming to light materials, able to be moved by hand in numbers, with stoneworks utilized only for necessary facilities and monuments.

Deity Name: Tala
Religion Name: Spiritualism
Deity Sphere: [Prosperity]
Religion Description: The beliefs and ideas within Spiritualism originate from humanity's oldest stories--coinciding and assimilating the notions of early miraculous and wondrous acts, with a tangible concept that resides in every living being: That while many beliefs, thoughts, and religions differ, every living creature possesses an intangible, metaphysical "soul", and thus connects the importance of one's thinking and perception to one's well-being, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Unlike many religions, the focus remains on spirituality, pertaining to tenets created or observed in the Ancient Age of mankind during the social reformation and restructuring periods, wherein thorough study of the mind, emotion, and mentality occurred: Character building and proactive thinking remain as core tenets, following the concepts of open-mindedness, thoughtfulness, and the importance of understanding, towards guiding the maturity of thought and action, primarily against impulsiveness and brash behavior, alongside denoting the importance of the breadth of reality; Spiritualism in this sense, favors a non-judgemental outlook on people and the world, and focuses on authoritative behaviors and rituals; that the self or individual is deeply and holistically connected to a larger community. The core tenets revolve around the priority, of all those in power and authority be treated with the same degree of response to those they govern; to prioritize the person over their current situation, and to keep communication and perspective aloft.
Tala is one of a pantheon of Gods and Goddesses--known to be the Goddess of the morning and evening star; her symbol was ascribed to hope and survival, to wake in the morning and see the sun and sky, and to sleep in the evening under heavenly light. With the stars too far to even sense or touch, the association with this distant yet visible notion has become a motif for spiritualism: There is much in the world we may think we know and understand, but that does not mean we should exclude from knowledge and understanding. Hence, many follows of Spiritualism or the Goddess Tala, find themselves oriented for the long-term with what resources they have in the present; to conserve, to refine, and to progress; to respect the lands and the seas, and the people therein.
