: Both of you are correct. So go to the barracks and take a good rest. You'll need it for tomorrow... if we make it through the night without riots. I'll be in my office if you need me.

Lt. Angstrom started walking back to headquarters at a slow pace, leaving the investigators to do their job.

[Sirus]

: "Our first day on the job and we are already facing a full-on gang war. I wonder what will happen tomorrow?"

[Twinwolf]

"My guess? Facing a full-on gang war."

[GiglameshDespair]

"We were gonna kill 'em all at some point anyway. Saves time if some of them knock each other off."

"Well then I'd have to say we agree on something then don't we?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I think I'm just gonna head home. Let Mom and Dad know to lock up extra tight tonight, get some rest. See you all tomorrow for the next shift."

[Sirus]

: "I suppose I will stay at the barracks; it would likely be safer there than anywhere else right now. If any of the rest of you are going there I will accompany them; guards should not be on their own right now."

[Swordstar]

"I'll be headed back that way as well. I'll accompany you, Miss Violet. At least that way, we'll have one eye that can keep a lookout for approaching enemies."

It was probably a joke though it was hard to tell as his expression barely changed.

[Sirus]

Violet couldn't decide whether she was offended or not. Eventually she decided to take Percival's offer at face value.

: "That would be most appreciated, Mister Wenlock. If you are ready to go...?"

[Swordstar]

"Let us go then. If any of you others are going to the barracks, feel free to join us, but we are leaving now."

He placed his tome in the small pocket he had on the inside of his cloak, though he kept a hand near it. There was an argument for keeping it in his hand, but he felt that not being openly carrying a weapon was less likely to draw negative attention right now. And worst case scenario, all he had to do was touch it to draw forth the power inside.

[Twinwolf]

"If you don't mind it." Lyra says, following after them. She had the same logic, of the barracks being safer. She didn't rate the church's chances at holding off any gang members that decided to crash there either, and unlike the others she couldn't fight back if something like that happened.

[Sirus]

: "Of course. Safety in numbers and all that."

Violet walked alongside Percival, sword sheathed but with a hand lightly resting on the hilt.

"Wait for me!" Sybella said as she hurriedly joined with the trio. There wasn't a chance she was venturing anywhere by herself after today, what with the imminent gang war and all.

[Swordstar]

["We certainly make an interesting combo... A blind swordswoman, a healer, and a half blind former initiate... I suppose you're the only normal one of us Sybella. Still, we should be fine."

[Sirus]

: Half-blind? Of course, no one saw fit to make an issue of THAT...

: "Agreed; I certainly would not want to get into a fight against a group like this."
