Violet grimaced at the smell of death emanating from the room.

: "How bad is it...?"

"Oh, right. Uh, Lil' Devil's gone and kicked the bucket. Two knives to the chest."

"I guess we better report this to the Captain, huh?"

"Ugh. Now that's a smell."

"I guess that is the proper thing to do. Noting left here."

[Sirus]

: "I agree that the Captain should be notified. However, we must make sure that the scene remains undisturbed until a trained investigator can arrive. They may be able to find clues that we could not."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"It'd be nice if there was some way we could do both at the same time."

[Sirus]

: "It would be quite feasible...if any of us had a mount, at least. After that battle I suppose it would not be safe for any of us to walk back to headquarters alone."

[S34N1C]

"Well, there are 12 of us, yes? So 6 stay behind, 6 go tell the captain. I volunteer to stay behind."

"That's true." Lyra contributes, having just finished healing the last of the wounds. "But if a similar number of criminals show up as the first group, would six be able to fight them off?"

[Deus Asmoth]

"Unless my eyesight is worse than I thought there are only ten of us, but splitting up is an option. If Chalco, Lyra and some mages stay we could probably defend this room fairly easily, as long as no one minds the smell. I imagine any gang members will be thinking twice about trying their luck here again today though."

"Heh, math was never my strong suit.

As to whether or not we could hold them off, I'm confident we could. The door would bottleneck them nicely. "

"I will go back to report. I have no interest in remaining here among the filth. We should take a closer look at the scene before we do though. While none of us are professional investigators, we were told to look here and find what we could. It would not look good on us if we were to go back with the job half complete."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I'm the fastest. I could run courier duty while you stay here and look around."

[Deus Asmoth]

"As long as you're fine going off on your lonesome. It's weird though, isn't it? This room is practically falling apart from the fighting, but there wasn't any sign of it outside. And the lieutenant said there weren't any reported incidents in the area involving Bulls before this one. Could be a gang meeting that went sour?"

"There's no one better at running than I am. Nobody's gonna catch me if I put my mind to it! Back in a jiff."

Linda headed out and scaled the makeshift barricade to the south before dropping down and sprinting back to headquarters.
