"I dun want your freaky proxy magic. Which is only useful for the sneaky."

Pharact twirls and twists as his words travel to all the gods of the bubble:

Divine peers. A proposal on fleshing out the system of magic of this world, which would require fellow god support to realize. Such support, or suggestions to improve the proposal, are requested:

Magic functions via connections, and sympathy. In short, like effects like. Elementalists form miniature elemental replicas of large scale things they wish to affect, then manipulate the model to effect the original. Taking material from the target increases the strength of the connection and thus magic, for example, a magical doll of a rival with some of his plucked hair placed in it, so you could torture him using the doll.

Factors effecting connections are distance, similarity, familiarity with the target, whether the target can currently be sensed, knowledge of the target's secret truename, and more probably.

A mage could spy on a friend they are very familiar with who is ten miles away with the crystal figurine made to look like him, celestial mages draw power for spells from the stars through the connection of the stars with their past lives on the planet, divine mages use the principle of sympathy to imitate the miracles of the gods, the spell being fake worshipped as a fake god until it gains enough power.

Enchanters use the parts of powerful creatures to imbue a connection with that strength in the arms and armour they create, psymentalists use the mental bridge connected by two people meeting their eyes to perform mind magic, necromancers use the sympathy a departed soul had with their corpse to take power from the soul and its afterlife to power the corpse or talk with the dead, and so on.

The gods may hand down tokens to favoured mortals, granting them a connection to that god which can then be used to perform powerful magic, with the danger of the connection potentially being used against the god.

A mass of red comes from the ground and takes an unknown alien form from which all creatures could hear it utter its name in a silent voice

"Lackiopiene..."
Salutations.

1E Action, Invoke Magic Sphere: Create the second Magic Monolith, a towering edifice of shining emerald engraved with knowledge of Fire and Enchanting Magic at the centre of Schwerland, visible across the entirety of the subcontinent. Topped by a large Pharactine symbol. Only those openly wearing Pharactine symbols can read what is written on the monolith.
Oppose

"Think about it stuuupid. Hair is gotten through stealing. True name through spying. Familiarity through infiltration."

"Somatics should always be part of magic. Just don't overdo it. Voice, sound, and such are like chanting for spells."

Tick 6.0: Breakfast is delicious

Pisces has dissolved into teeming schools of sea life, great and small, chordate and spineless, mobile and sessile, swimmer and scuttler. Pharact supports this intriguing development. Pisces has complated this retirement process.

Pharact has started a retirement attempt involving merging with magic but is quickly stopped by the opposition led by Mavnon. Vimbr, Gowler, and Cliche join in stopping the attempt.

Gowler has made more Dunelings. (Gowler: -4E) Gowler has tried to teach the Dunelings about bonement and has some success. Gowler has created oasioat, an oat found near oases.

Pharact's sympathetic magic plan remains up for negotiation. Gowler reaffirms support for the sympathetic magic plan, which is now opposed by Cliche, who cites the ease of exploiting the system. Panzer, too, opposes it.

Vimbr calls for a magic system suspiciously resembling the current one.

Mavnon proposes that the gods pay for magic, which Pharact, Vimbr, and Cliche oppose.

Mavnon proposes that magic be conducted through song and dance, gestures, and martial arts as appropriate, which Panzer supports. Vimbr proposes that the complexity of the actions correspond to the results. Pharact supports if integrated with sympathetic magic to create the magic of interpretive dance, which Mavnon supports as well. Panzer opposes this freaky voodoo.

Khava Baras has made more Artisans near the center of the disk. (Khava Baras: -9E)

Muda has made more Pause!!!...!s, quickly approaching 10. (Muda: -7E)

Ne'tharil responds to a prayer:
E'tai weasel: "Because no one wants to live in it!!!!! If I let them in, they would make it dirty for the next ones!"

Mavnon has promoted the kharis applicant to Reporter-Editor, commissioning the Annual Innovations magazine and granting a printing press.

[Panzer, The Bestest God and Bestest Armor]

"Time for... my stuff."
Panzer goes into her Blackrock Spire.
Panzer Creates the Advanced Artifact Forge: God Forge Gott Smeide, for 4 Essence.
Panzer Creates a ton of God Steel Gott Stahl for 4 Essence. A stronger and all round better Steel, she puts all of it in a stash at the Blackrock Spire.
Panzer then just works the forge, making a big supply of coal, and getting it all hot and ready for smithing.

Ne'tharil sighs and responds "I believe that is your main issue, words without the proof to back them are words not trusted. I advise you let them take a tour of the warrens, and if you don't want them to make the place dirty tell them to not make any messes, and if they do anyway clean up any mess they end up making." After speaking Ne'tharil secretly checks the warrens to see if they are as good as the E'lai says they are.

Create Cliche's Press, an Elite-tier printing press. Anything that it prints is able to be read by any race in the world, allowing the masses to be informed of global goings-on. Invoke the stereotype sphere, since it will literally be using stereotypes. (11E * 0.8 = 8.8E)

Create Maxwell Murdoch Hearse, an Epic-tier hero, who will be tasked with overseeing publishing and distribution of the new daily. MMH can teleport in order to perform this task more efficiently. (11E, unless there are issues with the teleportation ability. If so, delay this 'til we sort it out)

The new daily will be known as the Godsea Gazette!

Send out the Kharis to set up offices in the major population centers of the other races in order to facilitate easier journalism, subject to permissions from the deities.

"Do any of you have issues with my people setting up journalism offices near your people? They will provide job opportunities for the locals, of course!"
