A freak earthquake indicates that magic already exists, albeit in a boring form, in Morse code.

Ne'tharil seems...intrigued at the weasel E'lai. "Why is it now for free? And have you let anyone see the warrens for themselves?" Ne'tharil also seems to be ignoring the other gods, or observing them, its hard to tell which.

A freak sandstorm reminds the silly Gowler that magic has existed at least as long as mortals have. (-0E)

Mavnon looks out her metaphorical office, noticing the single applicant.

"Well. Looks like you're only one with the brains to survive the trip to the office. Which means, you're hired. I expect the first report by tomorrow morning and before you leave, please pick up the company immortality [abstract concept]. Wouldn't want you dying now, eh?"

2E: Turn the kharis applicant into the Immortal Reporter-Editor Guy/Gal. He/She is to found the Annual Innovations magazine which specialises in describing/explaining recent discoveries and technologies in a way that is understandable for most people. He/she will also be provided with a printing press.

Propose system: ALL magic stems from the gods. If a worshiper needs magic they actually have to pray for it and the god must sacrifice their own essence income. 1E is sufficient for 3pops of magic users.

The realities of diminishing returns of essence income from worship makes this completely unworkable once population reaches a certain threshold. Not that it works that well before that point either.

And I don't particularly appreciate this attempt to screw me over, which is beginning to look like part of a larger concerted effort.

"i also appose. the point of a magic system is to give mortals a power of there own. having to draw power from there god defeats the purpose."

"I agree with magic man, though I don't share the inferiority complex. Population grows on its own, so there will come a point at which you are spending more on magic than you receive in worship."

"now that's not half bad an idea....might I propose that simple actions only need simple movements while more complex ones take more complicated guesters and dances?"
