Pigeon Helicopter
A light, single rotor utility helicopter with empty weight around one ton. In addition to a cabin with two seats it has a small cargo hold that can house 4 fully equipped soldiers or ~400kg of cargo or 2 medics and wounded soldier or gunner with Sorraria machine-gun or anything else army may want to fit inside. Its roles are liaison, recon, supply, medical evacuation, fire support and small scale landings behind enemy lines

[Vehicle, general (meant to be used by every infantry unit), small, 2 ore, 2 oil, new tech expected: helicopters] ]

One more version of Pigeon

+1 to the new Pigeon.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

So, basically it's unarmored, huh? Not sure if that's too big a dealbreaker since it's mainly for behind the lines stuff, though seeing if SOME armoring could be added might be a good idea.

Revision :

UF-M8 Radio: Replacement of the vaccuum tubes utilized in the design of the radio with efficient transistors is supposed to severely reduce size and energy consumption, allowing for a significant increase in range and portability.

...Well shit, I didn't expect the chopper to get that good a roll. Sure, it's unarmoured but it's better than having a particularly big flaw in something like the engine.

So, do we try to armor the chopper against at least small arms, or do we go for something else?

So, what do we do for the other revision? I had the idea of upgrading the BumbleBee to use a targetting radar, but that is the same direction of development as the radio, and not something we actually need right now.

Maybe droptanks for the jet, to extend it's range. Though that would be kinda pointless I guess, without any weaponry.

Well, RADAR would still be pretty good for naval surface detection and the sorts, and would lead well into developing SONAR too.

Maybe a slightly bigger version of the jet with droptanks and a couple nose-mounted mgs to turn it into a proper fighter-bomber? I mean it wouldn't do any real dogfighting or taking out heavy armored targets when it expends its bomb, but it could pull a few high-speed strafing runs on targets of opportunity.

As a matter of fact:

Bolt II Jet bomber. A slightly enlarged version of the bolt to account for extra room needed for a pair of nose-mounted mgs and the ability to bolt on extra drop tanks for extra range.

Classification: [Vehicle, Small, Specialized]
cost:same as the bolt, hopefully(+1 oil when using drop tanks)
New tech anticipated:drop tanks
