.50 cal MG taken from the Yellowjacket
Writing ".50 cal MG" is enough here. We can also go for 2 barrel 0.5 MG to get gast system tech....

I think this thing should be attached to marine infantry to play its intended role. How do you imagine separate units? What is their role?

I still don't think that this thing is good for crossing large bodies of water but it is rather nice for jungle warfare\crossing small straights\rivers being general vehicle for our marines so I will not object if it will be a general vehicle.

3 ore\2 oil is a way too high for the starting cost (our medium truck is same). 2 ore\2 oil looks much better, remember that +1 resource or worse will happen in more than 5/6 of results.

The end result is still the same in the worse case scenario, given that it'd make it expensive by one level of whether it's 3 ore or 2. Though that indicated we get sabotaged so...

As for attaching it to marine infantry, we'd have to have marine units in the first place (Though this would be highly suited for them, I'm just using it as a specialist vehicle in case we get a worse-case scenario making it impossible to produce it large-scale until the techs are ready for widescale use.). I can readily change that designation however.

As for the Gast system, that might mandate the ore cost being what it is and I doubt it'll be that efficient for it given the calibre of the MG. I did initially want to slap a radar on this thing to help with coastal patrols and such, but if that radar system uses transistor electronic it'd be far to expensive to deploy so...

I still say we make it a very small ship rather than a vehicle, since that way we an carry a couple vehicles with our marines to provide fire support, pretty important when assaulting islands and ports.

As well, the original gast gun fired a 8x57mm round, so using it with a .50 round isn't an issue for increasing fire rate.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

The minute it can carry large vehicles, it loses it's most important asset: Manoeuvrability.

And not being a huge target. And howercraft is not a ship by role.

Hm... your original proposal is 3 resources short. It will be 5(4 after Java) resources short in 2 of 6 rolls, 4(3) in 3 of 6 and 3(2) in 1 of 6. That without sabotage that makes it slightly worse

With 2 ore\2oil it is 4(3), 3(2), 2(1). Very different situation

There are no good reasons to make estimated cost high. In fact there are no reasons at all. We need to aim for minimal cost that looks sensible

I don't think we can change designation after production started. That means we will have them specialized forever. And I fail to see how it will work as separate unit(s).

Well, we can change it to general after the rolls, which is what I mean there.

Anyway, updated the predicted resource cost for it to be 2 ore/2 oil, and for it to be general equipment. Still looking for a second tech to put onto it though.

Gast gun! Yeah, I'm gonna be that guy, but hey, gast guns make for a good way of getting high rates of fire, and are mechanically simpler than rotary guns. Plus, you know, they don't need external power sources.

Well, I'll do that if we can't think of anything better.
