Martijn picks up all daggers of his he can see, mutters to himself as he searches for a lit torch, then stalks to the entrance, ignoring Ritki. Once in the open slightly, he raises the torch high in order to bathe the area with light. He looks very grim.
Come out where I can see you. You interrupted me in the middle of a romantic watch with a beautiful woman. There'll be hell to pay for this, mark my words.
The torch makes the gems on his dagger gleam and seem like liquid.
We can do this the easy way or the hard way. As an aside, he mutters prayers to Dresna and the dice.
((Here's to hoping he's not attacked on sight. Also, I guess that would be an intimidate?))
You grab a torch and peek out the rocks blocking the entrance.
By Dresna, that's a lot of rats... You can't tell if you're seeing several swarms or a single sea of rats. There are dire rats amongst them, but not many anymore. You could about 20 square feet of rats, nine dire rats and one unfamiliar wererat in hybrid form.
"If you think I care about your romance, you can take it and shove it up your arse.
I would prefer you come out, to make my job easier. The rest of your vast army? The rats will deal with them. All it takes is one bite, and you're suffering from a sickness called filth fever. I'm not here to kill you; I'm here to spread disease to your people. You will be removed like the plague you will become."He reaches into a shoddy bag and perfectly hurls it above you, bouncing harmlessly on your shoulder.
A human head rolls in, Kylie gives a shriek in horror. Judging from the way they looked, the head belonged to a man that was amongst the refugees who was native to Jergenholm, as his thick beard, gaunt face and long hair shows his lifestyle. It is not one that you recognize at all, however...
"We found this one east of the marshes as we were stealing from one of the clans. He was killed by tooth and nail alone, and we took his head as a trophy. I will not hesitate to do the same to you.
Lucky you, I am feeling generous tonight. I know you have the one who uses forbidden magic there. I know he started the fire; give him to me, and I will spare you for a night before I come back here. He's proven to be a problem to us, slaying several of our kind with his magic. If you are smart, you will send him out and you will let me have my way with him, and buy yourself some time to go back to where you came from.
I'm going to give you sixty seconds to get him and bring him here or I will send all my forces after you.
Oh. And I know you're looking at me, so you might want to look up."Doing so, you see the wall has more swarms of rats hanging off of the cliff face, as well as two more dire rats
He starts counting.

TWO...
