2 votes for flamethrower, 1 for car, I believe at the moment.

By the way, Playergamer, I think a Horsekiller modified to be automatic is called the M1 Stallion. It's also pretty much an entirely different weapon. Remember, the Horsekiller breaches like a shotgun:

I just copied what GUNIN said last time, and he's probably gonna vote for the car.

Make an armored car with 15mms of armor and a turret that rotates using electricity mounted with an M1 Stallion, and an M2 Brumby. The vehicle should only be as big as it has to be to hold the crew and the engine to minimize silhouette. The hull should be friendly to infantry desant. It should have a top speed of at least 20 mph cross-country.

I added an M2 Brumby to the armament. I think a machine-gun, plus a Horsekiller autocannon, should be good for now. It'll probably be very expensive, since it's a big project, but we can revise it.
+1 to this, and I went ahead and switched the gun type over to the M1 Stallion in the quote.

Ah, I was thinking it was a breech loader like the old British Colonial Rifles.
Also, I think electricity is a bit advanced for our armored cars, if we do install these we should also throw another way for it to turn possibly.
Possibly away for them to generate manually, a crank generator or some such thing.

+1, but install redundant handholds on the turret system in case of electrical failure.  Mounted with Brumby only, the Stallion pushes us up to VE rather than E.

Why not two variants? 1 out of 5 is mounted with a Stallion, the other four only have the Brumby

We can work on planes once we get motorized. For now, the armored car will be a lot more helpful.

+1 for the car. I don't see why they couldn't use electricity generated by the engine. If not, there's no way an enclosed turret would work. You'd just have to have a rotating collar with the gun on a pintle.

Sniper bait, anyone?

And speaking of sniping, perhaps we should consider making a sniper-specific modification of the horsekiller, since that's what it's used for now. You know, telescopic sights and the like.
Because the streams of bullets they pour out weren't enough of a hint.

Optics would probably give the troops an edge in sharpshooting battles. It doesn't matter how quick they can shoot if we're firing from outside their effective range.

I'll withdraw my vote for my horsekiller version, and +1 this.

Why the stallion and the brumby? That's two different kinds of machine guns. Why not the .60 cannon and the efficient .30 LMG?

I think that we should use whichever one is cheaper of the two .60s
