So I was afk-ing my cavern wall-off-collapse project when I met another banal megabeast message.
And then I read the message.

Holy Armok!!! WHAT IS THIS?!???

It's a burd. Imagine a giant kea on steroids. And more concerned with eating your dwarves than stealing from them.

Just made another statue. I hear that dwarfs like statues that represent an animal that they particularly like. So hopefully they will love this one. I think that it's rather swish, if I may say so myself.

7/10 IGN, not enough animals.

In all sincerity though...what does that look like? I imagine a horrid amalgamation of creatures packed together into one, eternally screaming mass of stone.

We have a rich tradition of percussion instruments as well, all of which are based around a musician smacking variously sized hollow rocks.
It was quite brutal actually. Who knew you could suffer major head trauma from undergarments?

I just had four loyalty cascades before I finally got things fixed. Stupid Bastiongate and your bugs.

Now all I need to do is decorate my statue with every variety of gemstone and cut stone available in order to make the wall of text even bigger. Oh yes.

40 citizens, 20 of which are children and most of them are playing make believe in the tavern...

Anyone know why my outpost liaison is just hanging around the tavern with "no activity"? When I v-g it says "This visitor has come for diplomacy and to relax". Last few dwarven caravans haven't initiated the usual meetings. My mayor is in a squad but has downtime to conduct meetings, and there's never a "conduct meeting" job in the liaison or mayor's v-g screens.

It seems that now, liaisons will hang around for a while just chilling out after submitting their initial report to the expedition leaader, mayor, etc. They'll leave eventually.

Since both giant keas and outpost liasions have been mentioned recently, I shall tell you a tale.

Oh, dear lord...when I read that, I may have winced a bit.

A lot.

I don't have eyes anymore.

Enjoy.

Also, funny thing is - that was just a regular brawl over arguments. Still resulted in testicular manslaughter.

My fort just got invaded by somewhere around 50 goblins plus a plethora of trolls and even more beak dogs.

My complete millitary consisting of 20 master (and some even legendary) axedwarfs got slaughtered, except for one, who managed to kill the last invaders all by himself, earning an epithet for having 5 notable kills. About 20 civilians were also slaughtered.

But  the fort still stands, despite being decimated.

I'd bring up the "castration via rock salt sword" incident to make you wince harder, but that was in adventure mode. XP
