Oh, dear lord...when I read that, I may have winced a bit.

A lot.

I don't have eyes anymore.

Enjoy.

Also, funny thing is - that was just a regular brawl over arguments. Still resulted in testicular manslaughter.

Kill.... me....PLEASE

I've actually never seen a gelding strike before. That can be explained away by my very recent (3 months ago) introduction to actually playing the game instead of lurking on the forums and being amazed by you wonderful, wonderful people (1 and a half years.) So, yeah.

It was quite brutal actually. Who knew you could suffer major head trauma from undergarments?

I just found out the goblin nation attacking me is down to ~10 goblins, a demon, and several thousand trolls. That explains why most of the siegers have been trolls lately. 55 years of war will do that to a civ.

Time to build a Siegefucker trap array geared toward luring in building destroyers.

I might have to. Last time I engaged an army in combat, my visitors rebelled, causing a loyalty cascade. I do have a massive trap array right where the goblins always come out, but I left it open so I could fight them. Right now, the siege is trapped in the trap bypass. I can't get them out.

Hmmm... I could go full Lockdown Procedure and let them loose on the surface...

The goblins don't fall for it. I guess they've already faced down the age-old dwarven trick of "let's you and this cuisinart fight".

When the second unit arrives, however, they start moving forward into the traps, and the result is best summed up as BZZZZZEEERRRRT shlort.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

Loaded up the game, having completely forgotten I had a moody dwarf demanding cut gems. He was still in the workshop, and when the gem cutter was allllllmost done cutting some prase, he went melancholy.

oh my GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

Titan merchants came in, threw some fireballs at a bunch of wild animals.

Now the fire is spreading everywhere. Constant "something collapsed on the surface" cancellations, people getting knocked unconscious, several people stuck in the mine while everyone else is outside in the chief's unfinished mansion.

If this leads to a total fort collapse I'll laugh so hard I may die.

And THAT is why I modded fire imps to not throw fireballs in Bastiongate's world. Because the merchants kept throwing fireballs at giant sparrows and wading through the lava moat.

Oh nono, its a modded race, one which I should have picked a better name for but eh. Basically imagine larger versions of humans that are still flesh and blood but look more like idealized living statues of the Greek and Roman eras - pale colored, smooth skin, physically fit, etc.

Anyway, during the flaming apocalypse, a vrykul architect gave birth to a girl. She abandoned her baby and ran for the burrow, though.

I was hoping the baby would be smart enough to run for it as well after I added her to the burrow, but instead she wandered in the opposite direction...into the fire...

I'm glad atleast wooden buildings dont catch on fire. The doors burned down but the walls and furniture seem to be fine...I hope.

Regardless, the countryside was beautiful, and now it looks like Mordor. Oddly enough, though, all my vrykul survived, regardless of having parts of their body melted.

Even the baby SOMEHOW walked through the fire and came out completely unscathed - I'm serious, not even light burns.
The merchants and caravan guards, though...well, you can probably figure out what happened to them. Shame, though - aside from the titans some dwarves also came to trade - first time civs other than elves and centaurs showed themselves.
Anyway, video

Not painted in garish colors? I am disappoint. :V

Nah - mostly just shades of grey and white. Hair colours I made more exotic, though.

Also unfortunately all of the flaming apocalypse was undone 'cause my game crashed. Atleast I saved slightly before the titans came so I can potentially undo it. At the same time I don't want to go to war with them. What do?  :-\

A coati man has stolen a (copper battle axe)!
A coati woman has stolen a (tower-cap stepladder)!
A coati woman has stolen a (tower-cap wheelbarrow)!
A coati woman has stolen horse meat [11]!
A coati man has stolen a (pig tail rope)!

WHY NO ONE TRIED TO DRIVE THEM AWAY!!

Anyway, I generated a new pocket world with only 1 cavern layer. I hope this time it will last longer before fps death.

Due to the nearby necromancer tower and the inhabitant's love for the avian kind I often find that I am attacked by all kinds of undead birds.

(also is that normal for necros? To constantly send hords of birds at you? I don't tend to embark at towers but with the nerf to undead I'm starting to and I'm curious)

Normally it isn't a problem and even my civilians can take them down, but I still send out the military just in case. Well this time, it was just a single speardwarf happily stabbing away at the ravens while his captain, Tang, comes running over to help.
Now, the speardwarf and birds were next to a pond that was on the side opposite that of which Tang was coming from.                     *visual for your benefit*

              POND
               Ñ  @

                   T

Well she decides to run all the way around them and the pond, jump in, and then charge out, at apperently mach ten directly at my poor little speardwarf and send him flying away about 20 squares.

He suffered a mangled hand but made a full recovery

I executed the queen with a rising bridge (and I guess I will do the same thing to her successor, if any).
Then a cave dragon killed several dwarves including a legendary bowyer before falling into my cage trap.
Then a group of crundles invaded when the dwarves tried to recover their corpses...
Too many limbs...miasma...I should have trained some hammerdwarves.

The hospital was full. There was not any water source, unfortunately. I locked the patients who couldn't drink booze, so the doctor wouldn't waste time on them, while making extra coffins for them.
