(purple! means they won't cancel the activity for work due to unmet needs, green activities will be cancelled for jobs -- it's similar to "on break".  if there's a bug with worship vs. needs, that's a different matter.)

Yeah, neither Worship task seems to be making my guys happy, they're all uneasy about not being able to pray to their gods.

--oh hi there. Yeah my purple guys are just...sitting in there forever doing nothing. It doesn't seem to be meeting their need at all.

Not a bug of Worship VS needs I think, just that it's not satisfying the need itself. I'm going to throw performers into a grander more sophisticated church and see what happens.

(I'm not sure if you already did this up there, but you can delete a zone briefly to get people out of there, then put it back with the same location, until we get a better solution)

"Written on the item is an essay entitled Uncanny Human, authored by Enasm Touchcradled. It concerns the settling of the human Enasm Touchcradled in Famespeak in 1. The writing is completely serious yet it is somewhat self-indulgent. Overall, the prose is not awful, but not very good either."

Lmao the traders bought like, 3-4 copies of this. I am amused.

Gah, game crashed and I lost the 2 hours of progress I made!;'(

Anyway, I expected something like this to happen, so I'm not too upset.

My thoughts on the version: Simply incredible! I had a blast playing, I love all the new features and I can say it was worth the wait. I know you'll be cracking down on these crashes, so I'll wait for a stable build before I play a real fort. Thx Toadster!

Anyone else having troubles with military not wearing their armor? No matter what I try, they keep their normal clothes on (with r - replace equipment enabled) and their copper mail shirts sit in the stockpile even with them assigned to the dwarves, no matter if they're active or inactive. This worked in the last version

Yeah, I've got the same issue. It's a pretty small temple, granted - but I think it should meet their needs at least a tiny bit.

I understand that it is disappointing when a dwarf makes a spiked loincloth instead of an axe.

Yeah, I give up trying to get these dummies satisfied. If anyone can get them to actually worship, instead of pretending to, please let me know what you did. OTL
I can't get them to STOP worshiping.  That's all they do..  I didn't have a temple for 4 years, then I created one 3x3 location for each deity and they're just praying non-stop.

Dwarf Fortress; simulating religious zeal since 2015.

It was quite brutal actually. Who knew you could suffer major head trauma from undergarments?

Had a crash too and lost my work XD This time I went in and made sure to turn the initial and seasonal autosaves ON. Also mucked around with the raws - by the look of it, the only one that's really sort of different is the plant_standard one. Hopefully this time I can get the graphics pack to work without accidentally making plump helmets unbrewable lulz.

Some of these new instruments are hardcore. One of my favorite examples is the bardum, a "huge stationary metal musical instrument which uses a ceramic pump to send water into a chamber, ultimately supplying air to blow through any of four hundred fourteen bone pipes. The musician directs air through chosen pipes by playing a ceramic keyboard. The instrument has flue pipes and..." it cuts off the rest, but that's plenty to convince me I need to put together an orchestra full of them.

My dwarves also seem to have invented the bagpipes, but they call it the merir, and they have what is essentially a bone cowbell. We have a rich tradition of percussion instruments as well, all of which are based around a musician smacking variously sized hollow rocks.

Even if you found a suitable opening, I doubt it would prove all too satisfying. And it might leave some nasty wounds, depending on the moral high ground's geology.

From what it looks like - dwarves will only socialize and worship if they haven't had a job assigned to them for a particular amount of time. Otherwise they'll just work themselves into unhappiness. Which is odd, since the old "Break" would take place whenever the dwarf needed one.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but I'd much prefer having dwarves set their own time off to do their leisure activities then me having to manually grind all fortress activities to a halt so they can relax.

Hey Toady, would you like us to open a proper bug ticket for this, or is it unnecessary since you already know about it from this thread?
