I think it would be better if the amount of material dropped was at 40-50%...

The new Captain of the Guard just bled to death under the same strange circumstances as the last one. Of course he went by the same first name... Maybe the position is just cursed. Or maybe one of the pieces of armor the CoG is assigned is heated just enough that the wearer eventually begins to melt...

Small trading with the elves, bought some cloth, booze, logs, and various tools I needed. Otherwise I'm building up my military, I won't get lucky with another titan made of steam again  ::)

I am happy to report that Shirai "SplitSkull" of RabbitHut has risen from his hospital bed.
And not as a Decapitated-Head / Undead Body combo !!!

All he needed was a cow thread suture, a gypsum plaster setting (yea I got that from merchants), and a cloth dressing.
His skull is still broken, but at least he won't need to depend on stagnant water brought in glumprong buckets !

Oh how I love my dwarves.
All of those dwarves are running towards the elven caravan to put their cloth in the hospital.

Those things murdered two miners in a past fort. Underestimate them not.

The ranger captain has been found dead, contorted in fear!

Well, I suppose those coffins could be built a little more quickly...

Well yeah, look at 'em.  Is there a part on them that's NOT evil?

Currently creating a fort in a desert. My woodcutter is getting some combat practice by chasing dingoes, camels, and random grasshopper men around the dunes. Looks like fun, but yet she's the saddest dwarf in the group... aww.

But you never see a movie where a terrible coal plant accident causes a horrible devastation, do you? Nope, everyone seems to think that nuclear plants get their energy by smacking live atomic warheads all day or something.

Christ that's ugly!

So, my fort trned intoa splunking run when, appearently good biomes dominate this world's equatorial regions, I embarked ona  cave. A miner got stuck down below, and after she refused to work without meeting with the EL, the other dug an emergency relief access.

She has single handedly killed a troll and a giant rat, with a copper pick on the troll, and she is killed the rat with her silk gloved hands. I had brought metals to make emergency weaponry for a trained swordsdorf I brought, but Nil the miner may well become our premier defender in the depths, since she survived alone down there for a month and a half with just a few stones for pots and whatever gathered plants there were, her only company being cave spiders and the troll until her little hissy fit.

Population is stabilizing. Influx of migrants has returned the population to just above 100. I'm jsut now designating new militia squads, with the excuse that I'm a lazy bastard and was watching the fireworks.

Still a lot of tantrumming going on, but the death toll rests at something over a hundred.

Second rat paid a visit. Nil punched it's brain in in one hit. Sad that I haven't gotten a butcher's shop and tanner up so I could make them into food.

Nil has taken the newly christened "Swordrunt" with her to deal with a giant toad. He also happens to be our butcher, so two birds with one stone!

Edit: Swordguy is cleaning up the mess him and nil made, and she became a wrestler. Soon we'll have delicious giant toad for the table!
