It has been determined that Trump is an average unladen swallow travelling northbound at his maximum sustainable speed of -3 Obama-cubits per second in the middle of a class 3 hurricane.

Arwen nods, grinning. "Perfect. I have a feeling I'll be dealing with it sooner than I'd like."

"I see.  Thank you, but we'll be departing later today, so we'll not be around to pick up either."  The same was true of the timeframe for any of the modifications he outlined for weapons, so she didn't even bother bringing up her next question about silvering it; she didn't want to head into combat unarmed, and she didn't want to replace the quarterstaff that had seen her through many travails since Nesmé.

Adrik:
"Two hundred gold." It's high, probably one and a half times what it you should pay for it normally.

Arwen:
"Of course, sir. What blade can I get ye for now?"

Mirella:
"Can I take an order for ya?"

"A longsword, please. Since it's just a rental, I see no reason to mix it up."

Arwen:
The smith quickly retrieves a longsword, roughly sheathed in a leather wrap.

Mirella smiled gently.  "No, thank you, and I apologize for wasting your time."

Mirella left the blacksmith's, looking for an apothecary or herbalist specializing in potions.

Arwen takes it and tests it out.

Adrik looks at the sword.

Mirella:
The town's apothecary is staffed by a single young halfling woman, who is setting up a rough table for a counter. Pottery and glass shards, mixed with herbs lie swept into the corner. She looks up, tiredly, at Mirella as she enters the shop. Then, recognition springs up in her eyes. "Hey, aren't you one of the adventurers that saved the temple? I was in there! I can't thank you enough! What brings you to my shop?"

Arwen:
It's a rather average longsword. Stick them with the pointy end.

Adrik:
"You won't find a blade as fine for sale for another hundred and fifty miles. 175."

"This'll do fine." Arwen grins, and heads out, looking for a Library. There was... something he wanted to look up.

Arwen:
There's a library in the governor's study, there's probably a small collection of religious texts in the church, and there might be profession specific texts in the various shops of craftsmen, but Arwen hasn't seen a public library in Greenest. Depending on what he's looking for, it might be better to just ask someone.

Arwen begins asking around about anyone who may have a few books on magic. He feels that having something, ANYTHING in his back pocket for the upcoming battles would benefit him greatly.
